The landing lights on DC2 are in the nose. DC 3 in the wings, easy front view, From the side theDC 2 radio antenna is closer to the front, shorter wire Ariel........ The DC2 had a manual controlled choke and if there was a misfire," OH EXCRETA" from a young inexperienced airman said at the first time it happened. The American Embassy had DC2 at Jakarta. Saw one crash and burn at Paya Leber, not a pretty sight when they removed the bodies. When my brother was on Lincoln 11 that crashed at Amberley and the 16 on board were burnt beyond recognition. Killed at 1750 hrs. Thur For discharge at 0800 hrs Friday.
