The Dc2 that we got were given to us by the american government when they could not release any c47's to us and were I believe ex american airlines.

The fusalage cross section was very different and on the vertical were almost straight.

The engines were much lower in HP and
the props were not the same.

Park the two aircraft together and you will see the C47 is a much larger profile.

There is the case of a c47 which flew with a DC2 wing to replace one which was damaged, the differance being 16 feet.

I have been told thst the DC2 was a harder aircrft to fly.
