We don't appear to have a character called Echidna in the database anymore - I believe you had his name changed to Mekhi at some stage?
Characters are free to call themselves whatever they like in their posts (secret identities being pretty cool and all) but we do ask that characters use the name they're under in the database on the boards themselves.
It does mean however that other people would be able to join with a character called Echidna, as the name is technically free. Nicknames and secret identities don't count as being "taken."
Alternatively, if you would like to use the name Echidna again, you just need to post on updates to purchase a Database Glitch for 150$ and request the name-change.
