Perhaps changed most of all out of all of the packs is this place. It was stripped out of its forested home and now instead lays at the edge of an ocean. The vast sparkling eternity of the water lays to the south of the land, while the rest of the land is made of rocky outjuttings. Gone are the trees, and all that remains for greenery are the short shrubs that dot the paths in the rock, and the moss that grows thanks to the spray of the waves. Further toward the shore, barnacles are a plenty, and look to cut the pads of those who slip on the wet surface. These extend out into the water itself, and the tough land has multiple caverns scraped into it, providing ample dens for the wolves that live there. Depending on the tide, however, the lower caverns may flood, and the vicious swirling water may prove to be dangerous as there is a strong undertide ready to pull unsuspecting swimmers to their doom. Even the tide itself is powerful enough to push intruders against one cliff or another. The ocean does provide, however, plenty of food for those who brave the waters - there are many breeds of seals and sea lions, though the males that protect each of these are vicious and territorial. There are also turtles that come ashore to breed and to lay their eggs - both the adults and the eggs themselves can provide sustenance to the wolves. But they must take care - the water is deep enough to allow sharks to come to shore from the depths below. Those unwilling to venture the waves or wet their paws with the moist sand of the shore can find snakes and hares in the rocky outcroppings, but they must beware the Komodo dragon and other monitor lizards that perch upon the shore - they are swift and move in groups, not to mention they carry venom in their bite that causes immense pain, paralysis, and prevents blood clotting. This is not the land for the weak of heart or the weak at all really. This is Uyaraut - ‘The Diamond in the Rough’.

Never Forget Who You Are

The male was not surprised that his brother had made his way here. The two both thought their family lost when they had all been separated. But it turned out that this was far from the truth. Not only did the two of them survive, but the rest of their siblings had as well. Well had survived the initial tragedies. Death came for his two sisters and other brother in one way or another, and now there was only Grey Wind and Mabbit left from their pack. The brute knew there was also a good chance that their enemies had survived as well, but so far they had had no issues. But Grey Wind was still on guard for the ghosts of his past should they turn up again. And he knew that Mabbit would do the same, so it was best that the two of them be in the same pack. And it seemed that fate wanted them together as well as the pair met once more.

As the brute approached his brother he saw that the alpha was already there. He greeted them both, watching as Kershov glanced at the two males after Mabbit told him that they were brothers. Kershov had already left Abendrot when Grey Wind realized who Mabbit was. The brute had been accepted into the pack and he had met him without either realizing who they were at first. But it didn’t take them long to realize their roots and that they were more than just pack members but blood family as well. Mabbit smiled with his greeting, and Grey Wind grinned at his brother in turn, "Grey, it's great to see you again.” Kershov then spoke to Mabbit, welcoming into the pack before he addressed both males. “Let us find something to kill, so we can catch up over a steaming carcass. I’m starving.” The white male turned to lead the way, and the brothers followed him. It was the first time that Grey Wind had been back with his brother since he left Abendrot, and he wasn’t sure how the younger male felt about him leaving. He wasn’t sure if it was a discussion they should have in front of Kershov or not. This was also the first time he had really spent with the alpha besides the pack meeting. And he was just as curious about what the other male had been up to in his time away from the packs.

Grey Wind sped up his pace a bit to be alongside the alpha, feeling like it was time that he should ask. ”So Kershov, what have you been up to in your time away from the packs?” He didn’t feel right jumping into asking why he had left, he wasn’t sure if he would ever as that. Grey Wind was sure that it was personal business, and if Kershov didn’t want to talk about it then he didn’t want to press for the information. Even though he had never imagined Kershov leaving the pack, he was sure that the male had his reasons. While he engaged the alpha in conversation he still kept an ear and eye out for any prey they may run across. He didn’t want to distract from the task at hand, but he also wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to talk without the entire pack present.
