I'll Seek You Out, Flay You Alive


She felt happy again. She finally had a home again. Of course she didn't have a relationship with anyone like she did with Ameira, but it was something. She had just finally settled in to her new den, the earth had changed in that place she now called Wudubearo. The trees were thicker and there were cliffs on either side that had never been there before. Her den was tucked under a large tree, roots dangling down the entrance hole. She took care to let the roots stay untouched, saving the tree. She started a garden next to her den, but not one of just any flowers and herbs - But her poppies that she loved so much.

She made sure that there was a small opening in the foliage above to let some light through to help the seeds grow - She only planted a few and ate the rest. She took a deep breath and waited for the effects to kick in. Everything seemed to slow down, and blur in colors. She could see blues and purples in the grass, dark hues of blue in the trees and red in the leaves. She smiled, not realizing the half an hour she had just spent was just her sitting there in the fading light of day. She rose to her feet, setting out on a stride that sent colors blurring around her in all sorts.

Where she was going she did not know yet - Only when she found an area that looked pretty enough to sit down at for the night, maybe find a hare to pick off for a snack. Her pupils widened to the drug in her system. She came to a cove, as beautiful as could be. She'd always dreamed of seeing the moon over the ocean, she slowed down and walked slowly into the shallows of the water. While there was still light she needed to act fast to select her evening snack. She swiftly placed her paw on top of a decent sized crabs shell, her jaws ripped into the water to rip off its claws. She picked it up and headed to the shore again.

She began picking it apart, laying in the sand where the water came up to her paws. She picked the shell clean and then began to roll in the water, delighted at the feeling it gave her, helping her keep cool in the hot summer nights. She laid on her back, staring up at the sky as stars began to form. She smiled at them, watching them swirl and dance. Then she saw a shooting star, a gasp escaped her jaws as she closed her eyes to make a wish. "I wish I wasn't alone . . ." She whispered, before her eyes fluttered open again and stared out at the sky again, dazed.




"One more word and you won't survive."
