The final of the Master 4 takes place tonight, the last of the season before the big explanation.
Olha-Lekerika and Erkiaga-Ibon play big. This evening, at the jai alai of Saint-Jean-de-Luz, we will finish with the qualifying phase for the final fireworks. It is punctuated by mini-championships, the Masters, where the victory is not trivial for a list of players. There, we will play the final of the Master 4. Christophe Olha and Unai Lekerika had won their semi-final on August 10th. On Thursday they were joined by Aritz Erkiaga-Ibon Aldazabal, the latter having replaced Nicolas Etcheto injured.

Rather, logic denoted their opponents, Iñaki Goikoetxea and Mathieu Errandonea. And the first round went in this direction with a tight but convincing victory. Complete change of decoration for the second act with a single rider of Erkiaga-Ibon.

Very Competitive

What was feared a priori happened. The immense Goikoetxea had left a lot of juice the day before in a final (lost) Gant d'Or in Biarritz. As for the young Errandonea, solid at first, it was a bit overtaken by the pace at the time when it would have been necessary to compensate for the decline in front sound regime. The beautiful one was very disputed but Erkiaga and Ibon continued on their dynamics to sign the victory. Tonight, then, they will be opposed to Christophe Olha and Unai Lekerika. A fine balance of forces in the presence that suggests a party to the knives.

Especially since there is a stake for almost everyone in terms of qualification for the final Slam. The most amusing is that Ibon Aldazabal, who replaced last Thursday, can qualify for victory at the expense of excellent David Minvielle. Christophe Olha can also definitively lose or face Jean Olharan the fourth place he qualifies for goal average.

Places to take

Aritz Erkiaga, sure of being at the end of the month party, can win a place at the expense of Iñaki Goikoetxea and "choose" his partner for the sequel. The same goes for Unai Lekerika, who has the opportunity to take the lead in Imanol Lopez.

As we said, there are big stakes knowing that for the next the first of the forwards in the classification will be associated to the first of the rear, the second to the second ... to the fourth. In short, an evening that promises. Beginning at 8:45 pm. Professional party at 9:45 pm.
