Silvanus’ words came as somewhat of a surprise to Persephone, but a most welcome one indeed. Her smile widened a little as she looked at the dark girl. She had been one of the very first horses she had met on these islands, and it had made a good impression upon her – Silvanus was pleasant company, and it would be so nice to have her around all the time, even if it wasn’t forever. “Of course not,” she replied with a smile. “You are more than welcome to stay, and for as long as you like. It will be nice to have you around for a while.” Silvanus’ next question was once again surprising. Persephone never forgot when she was offered a favour, of course, but she had not expected the girl to bring it up again. She was quiet for just a moment, thinking on something that she could ask of her that was not too troublesome for a friend, yet still useful. “You are no burden,” she began simply, eager to put that to rest first of all. “I suppose I only ask that you spread the word of the Forest as a good place, both to any of the other territory leaders around here and to any wanderers who need a home.” She paused, watching Silvanus, before continuing. “I want to build a strong herd here, and I plan to have good relationships with the other herds too – or at least as many as possible. So put in a good word for me, will you,” she added with a small chuckle. |
