It was over almost as quickly as it had begun, but Kalseru felt that despite their fights brevity much had changed. There is a very satisfied gleam in her eye as his amber gaze finds hers before his head falls to the dirt with a snort of surrender. Despite her mouth still securely holding down his neck a smile tugs at the corners of her black lips at the fact that he didn’t look totally displeased at the outcome. After no more than a moment she releases him, licking at the spot where her teeth had punctured his skin slightly before moving so he can stand. It was the first true test she had faced, the first time she had gone up against an opponent in more than a simple sparring match

Though it might have been a bit begrudging, but she thought she saw more respect in his eyes now and it made her chest swell with pride. She had much to prove of herself still, but she felt this was a step in the right direction. “I hope I have showed you that I am more than just a pretty face.” Her voice is light and accompanied by a playful flick of her silken tail and yet there is a seriousness to it. While she respected his right to test her leadership so early on if this did not satisfy him then she would not tolerate dissention again. However, she did not feel that this would be the case with him. Offering him a smile she gave a light shake to smooth the ruffled fur along her back and chest before padding with him back to the gathered wolves who no doubt received more of a show than they were expecting today.

Striding back atop the rock where the leaders before her had once sat she cast her moon-rimmed eyes out over the crowd once more. “Anyone else?”
