For a moment, she wondered if this is what Thoth had felt. Had he quivered in the cold and dragged a half-dead body around before he had been taken? Perhaps she had not kept a close enough eye on him. Perhaps she had been the reason whatever sickness had been able to take him before they had restored balance. She knew he thought he was the cause of the unbalance but...now she was not so sure. His death had only caused more, not remedied it. It made her shake too, a mirror of Halcyon's movement though she quickly gathered herself and tucked those parts of herself away once more.
She tilted her head at his comments however. Had he worried for Asteraia? Her lips were taut in thought though she only listened; she supposed he might worry when his eyes had been closed for so long. But now...? Now she saw such a time and sickness was but temporary. Already, the warm had served him well and she imagined it would continue to do so. After all, he did not linger with the aura of death. Life, perhaps. New life? She wasn't sure. She only knew he had little reason to thank her.
Her ear flickered out of instinct, a budding habit that seemed to strike her any time her mind jumped tracks onto a new train of thought. War. A low hm of thought radiated from her throat as she looked to the stars, half concealed by cloud as the moon struggled to peer out at the pair of them.
