He tends to not be too far from his sister. Yes, he gives her space, but she is his sister, and a rock to him. He tends to follow her around, even if at a distance. It helps him become more confident at times. He can move about and feel safe. That is what he does today, follows her around although keeping his distance.
The smaller male does get distracted for a moment, with his eyes wandering across the sky at a group of birds above. He didn’t snap out of it until he heard the call for the leaders of the pack. He knew that call was not meant for him...he is no leader, but Aster was, and he would sometimes follow to see what happens at these kinds of meetings. He noticed the kind girl he had met, but the mean killer she wolf (at least he felt like she was a killer) was with her. To some it may be irrational, his fear, but to him it was clear when she came at him with snarls and jaws last time. He gulped and finally got the courage to yell out.
”ASTER! NO! SHE WILL TRY TO KILL YOU! RUN!” he yells in a panic, his head lifting only to project his voice before it falls back down close to the ground. His tail was between his legs as he looked back and forth, wondering if Halcyon was coming as well to help protect Aster from the mean she-wolf. He was not brave enough...not strong enough...not large enough...not good enough to help Aster on his own, and his brain didn’t even process the possibility that the she-wolf was not here to be mean and finish the job. He couldn’t even let his mind go enough from the perceived threat to be excited to see his friend...
