To continue our exploration of the Guv's lady collaborators, Celia is joined in the deep footnotes by a certain Barbara Rutherford who received belated credit as the "woman's voice" on the song 'Barricades and Angels'. And by golly there she is with a brief indistinct spoken phrase just before the sax solo. Pre-dating the definitive Captured Tracks release of the Trolleys was a Bandcamp download that contained Martin's 2015 liner notes in which Barbara momentarily emerges from the shadows only to retreat inexplicably back into them for the Captured Tracks notes.
