Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

JETTA


Jetta hadn’t thought she’d see him ever again. As handsome and charming and irresistible as he was - and no matter how strong her desire to seek him out again - Jetta had been determined to stay away. Her duty was to the Peak, and to her sisters. If she pursued Zevulun, she was not sure she would be able to uphold that promise - and it was all the more important that she did so now that she was Prime Minister.

He was a honey trap, and so she had tried her hardest to put thoughts of him out of her head. Occasionally, when her memories of their tryst were too powerful to ignore, she thought back to her mother and the steady relationship Inka had maintained with the charming Valentine, Jetta’s father. How had she done it? How had she kept in touch with him - and bore several of his children - without giving into the urge to abandon the Peak for him?

At the very least, the snow and ice and freezing temperatures aided Jetta in her efforts to put all thoughts of visiting Zevulun out of her mind, if only because they made it nearly impossible to do so. Even traversing the cliffs and slopes of the Peak was a hazard this time of year - especially when one was heavy with child, as Jetta was - and so, as she did nearly every winter, the mare had made herself comfortable in the shelter of the forested foothills that skirted the mountain.

Then one day a call reached her ears. Jetta had been attempting to sate her hunger with the shrivelled winter grasses peeking through the snow - as she seemed to be doing constantly these days - and when she looked up it was with a few yellow stalks poking from her pink lips. These floated forgotten to the ground when her mouth hung open, and her pale blue eyes widened to take in the sight of the stallion who haunted her dreams.

She was frozen with surprise when he reached her. He was as handsome as ever, if somewhat fluffier with his thick winter coat. “Zevulun,” she breathed, her voice a helpless whisper, “What are you doing here?” Her heart was racing; she felt light and heavy all at once. It did not for a second cross her mind that he had come to see if she had conceived a child. In that moment, she could only assume that he had given into the desire that she had denied herself all this time.

The corners of her mouth tautened in the beginnings of a smile.

ooc: aaahhh so many good ideas! i've actually already got a plan in place with vinyl and chaos, whereby macabre is going to travel to tinuvel and find diamant. she'll then return to the peak and tell jetta that he's being held captive, which will then prompt jetta to travel there (with merete) to confront mariael. i figured she could discover zevulun there and that would kick off all our delicious drama. as for them finding out their relation... UGH I'M TORN BECAUSE I SO WANT THEM TO FIND OUT FOR THE SHITS AND GIGGLES but also i kinda want to let them enjoy their romance lmao. so maybe they find out eventually? i feel like it would have more impact, anyway, if we really gave their fling a chance to flourish before crushing it into the ground. so maybe this could just be a nice little drama-free, pre-baby reunion? :D
