At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

Fear Makes People Do Terrible Things

_________________________________________________________________________

Earhtquakes and hurricanes raged through the nightmares of the young male’s mind as he thrashed about in his sleep. The ground quaked beneath his paws as storms raged about, torrential rain soaked his light brown fur and strong winds threatened to sweep him away. Green orbs looked around in panic to figure out how to escape, to find a way to safety. But it was like he was glued to the spot and his form would not move no matter how strong his mind willed him to. With a start, Lupin woke up from his dreams. He was panting and sweating, fear and adrenaline still racing through his veins as if it had all been real. Ever since the earth had changed he had been having weird dreams, nightmares really. The young male had always enjoyed the night more than the daytime anyways, so he decided to give up on sleep for that night and see what was going on in the new lands. He stifled a yawn as he rose and stepped out from the bush he had been taking shelter under. Even though he was grown now, Lupin still preferred to sleep out in the open rather than in a den. They still felt to closed and claustrophobic to him.

Lupin’s green orbs looked up to see a full moon, giving him more than enough light to guide his way through the forests. Paws carried him through trees that were beginning to become familiar to him after the earth’s recent changes. As he reached the edge of Wudubearo’s borders he decided to turn in a new direction that he had not yet explored. The land became more and more unfamiliar as he traveled. The sound of waves hitting sand in the distance reached his ears, and he decided to see how different the area where a lake used to be was. As he approached he could already tell the lands were different from the different smells that reached his nares. Tall stilts continued to carry him, now with more speed as his curiosity increased. When Lupin reached the water he saw that it had expanded greatly. The lake had always been large, but now he could not see land at the other edge, and the waves came up higher than they used to.

The brute continued to look around him at the world that had changed so much. Without realizing it he began to pad into the cool waters. As his paws touched it felt much colder than he remembered. He liked the water, but knew it would not be as fun to swim in with the sun down and the air already cool. He could feel a current pulling the waves backwards and forwards as he stood, feeling his fur go back and forth with the water. After a few moments he stepped back onto the rocky shore, unsure of what he was doing here or how long he would stay, his scarred face turning back up to examine the sky, watching the stars and the moon instead of paying attention to his surroundings.
