At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

A Promise Was Made

She had giggled, but the innocent bit had soon fallen into full-on guffaws of laughter and Drizzt stood helplessly by, watching her, concerned. He had heard about plants and herbs that affected one's mental status, and Drizzt's brows scrunched together as he swept his azures over her, looking for signs of overdose though he could in truth had no idea what exactly he was looking for. He gently touched his nose to hers, testing her temperature and nearly recoiled at the electricity that jumped between them, the attraction. Her pools began to water and Drizzt let loose a whine, but it weakened as soon as she began to speak, and soon after draped herself over him. Her weight laid upon him and he tensed his muscles, standing tall and strong in order to hold her up without wavering.

'I—I—I’m sorry, I just— It is lovely, you know, to be chased for once. I just . . . this is too good to be true!'

She nuzzled against him, rubbing her facade against his nape, first smoothing his pelt down before pushing it against the grain, ruffling it all. He had never had this much physical contact... ever. Not from his siblings, his father, his mother, his aunt. It was terrifying and yet wonderful. His skin rippled against her as he felt her nares pushing further and further against him. But then he nearly jumped out of his flesh her tongue began to run over him, leaving kisses on his skin between his parted hair. His lips parted and he let loose a very slow exhale to focus himself, but even that trembled. He had never felt lust or desire before, and he was failing horribly at hiding it. He could feel her inhaling against his hair, his flesh, could feel her breath on his skin, and despite the heat that was flustering him, it still warmed him.

'You . . . smell like home. You smell like my old home . . . where I was born. Malignant Felicity.'

She kissed him again, and he pulled back slightly, just as she did too. He had been there since he had been but a pup, but he did not remember her. He pulled his gaze away from her stunning, imperfect smile as he tried to focus. She was uniquely painted, and he would remember her surely... but then... he did. It had been a long time ago - they had met once, but never introduced. It had been his first night at Malignant Felicity, and she had strolled into the pack meeting as if she had owned the place, back when Lucifer still owned the place.

'What are the odds, right?! What a small world!'

"It is not a small world at all, my moon. But rather a revolving one. We have met before, in a different time though. I was much younger - just a pup. And I looked much different than I do now - my pelt was pure as snow and not cream like it is now. And my eyes were not this blue - instead, they were a vibrant purple. My mother was Hocus, if you remember." Her grin became stiff and forced and Drizzt worried that this would change everything for her. Their difference in age would be no thin task to get over - in fact it was the same thing that had kept him and Motionless from ever being together. But she was his Soulmate - there would be no one else for him ever. But how would she feel about it all? But whatever was crossing her mind seemed to be fleeting because her tail started to wag again, her body posture once again becoming soft and moldable.

'So . . . chasing. I might enjoy that. Give me to the count of five, handsome. Then we’ll see if you can catch me.'

She had moved closed and closer to him, until her paws overlayed his own and her nares were a hair's breath from his. Her exhaled air had become her inhaled air, and he found her breath just as delectable as the rest of her. It was sweet, like candied blossoms, like the nectar of the deepest rose. He nearly reached out to carress her snout, but then she coyly tipped and ran away, but not before brushing her plume around his facade, leaving her scent upon him. Drizzt did not bother counting to five, but instead immediately gave chase, the heat in his loins powering him forward, his haunches digging into the earth. Deep furrows dug themselves into the earth from his claws as he ran after her, muscles tensing and releasing as his limbs ran in long strides. He caught up to her quickly with the long legs that he had inherited from Aindreas, and he playfully nipped at her side, his incisors reaching for her flank. "I cheated a bit, miss Kirastasia, but I could not let you get away from me, not now that I've found you." He called breathlessly out after her, his heart pounding, but not just because of the exercise. Being near her just felt so right - she felt like the most important thing in his world, and he could not imagine the thought from parting from her, not even to give her a five second headstart. Not when he was so close to discovering if she thought they would truly be compatible.
