aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

She had apparently been pleased with his words, her plume beating at a rate faster than his own, and yet when he sat upon his to quiet it, she had giggled. His monologue had been a barely contain set of mumblings and ramblings, strung together in a quiet collected timber, yet his heart was still trying to break free of his rib cage, and it had been all he could do to continue on slowly. It was not like him to become so anxious around another - true he did not like social gatherings, or any place where it was crowded, where another might touch him by accident, But usually if anything he was indifferent. Polite, cool, collected, and indifferent. But she had knocked a wrecking ball through his wall of defenses, and poured acid upon the rest to start breaking down the mortar. He was at a loss, both how to act, what to say. He had wondered if offering to help was the right course of action, but it seem to be, considering she soon begin to speak. The Titan took a deep breath of relief, glad that she was the one talking now, especially since her soprano brought peace of mind to him, but that relief was short-lived when he heard what her nightmare was about.

His brow raised once more and concern, and a soft wine hold itself from his kissers as she described her nightmare. But worse than that even, was that the nightmare was based upon reality. While Aindreas parents certainly could not brag to be the parents of the year, they were saints apparently in comparison to Mai's. hers had abused her, and though her brother had protected her from most of the beatings, she had still been tortured… And in her dream it had gone to step further. They had killed them both slowly. Her pools began to fill, and the soft clear liquid threatened to spill over the dam, and then proceeded to do so as she began to tremble. Her entire body was wrecked with tremors. He had asked her also why she just wanted to join the pack, and if she had any skills, and he quickly reprimand himself for saying such a thing to change the subject away from her terrible nightmare. She had responded quickly, covering her fear with a lighthearted jest and the brute could not help but smile. She had trusted in him enough to confide her darkest fear, and yet was now trying to make him feel better about all of it by acting nonchalant.

He had retreated from her after nearing her, but his retreat was met by her forward motion. The distance between them was capped, hardly a distance at all. Once more he scrambled for words to say, anything that could make her feel better. "Although your puppy years were certainly horrible and painful for you, and will always be a set of memories in your mind that you cannot erase, they are just that-memories. They are in the past, and it is unfair of your subconscious to bring them to life once again. I do not know you well, and so perhaps this will mean nothing to you. But I promise that they will never again hurt you. While you are with in my borders, you are safe as none may enter without permission. While you are a member of my pack, you will be under my protection, and if you ever have need of me, all you need to do is call." Aindreas could only hope that she did not have plans of straying too far from the pack. With the recent change due to magic, blossom forest had expanded tenfold. He would certainly come if he heard her call, but his worry was that he would not hear it at all. He was not one to make idol or false promises, but he would do everything within his power to keep this promise, to keep her safe. It had been the worst possible scenario that he could have imagined. He could discount nightmares that were fantasy or fiction. But things that were real… Relived memories… He had no power against those. And so the king did the only thing that he could think of that might calm her, That might distract her from her figure. The distance that had been between them closed as he rose from his haunches to his paws and ears hurt. He could see his breath making waves in her pelt, and if he had wanted to he could count every single hair upon her. And he took a deep breath and swallowed, bracing for the pain he knew would come. One more step and he was against her, for he had taken a step forward and slightly to the right, and he now draped his neck over hers, and pulled her against him and embrace. Needles shot through him and a tingling, and uncomfortable fashion, but it was nothing that he was not accustomed to. Bus his body did not shake or quiver, and the only thing that would divulge his pain was the slightest of grimaces on his face, but that was hidden from her, and that was all that mattered.
