GRiMOiRE
female . 37 inches . 120 pounds . loner
"Dance, my little puppets,
set your soul free.
Dance, my little puppets,
dance just for me."
- verse iii, sandy nobody
Daybreak broke with an eerie stillness. Birds’ voices were caught in their throats and the rising sun stained the world in a silver wash. Blades of grass stood stiff like spears erected in a defensive wall. Grimoire wove north through their dangerous maze with exact steps and keen vision. Between patrols, she’d slip past the outer rim of Diveen borders, but she did so only to prove the point of her visit; she intended to walk through the canyons of Diveen as freely as she had entered. She intended to be Queen of the Canyon, master of Demons. Those of the faith had suffered in the absence of Ishtar and Andras. Further astray her fellows became, losing focus, and forgetting their purposes. With a kingdom, Grimoire knew she would rebuild the broken reputation of Demons.

No reward would be greater than creating that future upon the defeat of an enemy… even one that didn't know they’d been marked by her fathomless mind. Orion was a stranger to her; she only knew his name by virtue of him being the alpha of Diveen and his scent from the border markers. Her lack of knowledge meant that his core was untested. Her blood rolled with enthusiasm; alphas were a rare gift to face and the trial that ensued after challenging one extended claws in both directions.

When she arrived in Moladion, she never expected to find herself in the position to challenge an alpha, but there was a goal to accomplish; this single battle would ensure her enemies. She never wished to be without them again. After many of the Angel family left, Moladion had become a desolate, worthless place to flounder through. Without the imminent peril of their ruthless justice, there was no one to hone her senses into lethal points. No one would entertain the savageness of her design, and like the Demons she wished to save, she’d have fallen into an abyss of purposelessness. Thank goodness for Eden, the alpha of Glorall, who gave her knowledge enough to find footing in her depression and encouraged her to march on. The beginning of her new endeavors began with facing Orion in combat; it would set into motion a cascade of chaos. If not in the lives of others, then at the very minimum in the life of Grimoire, she who thrived in the toils of turmoil.

The time to begin the challenge ripened with the first yellow ray of light striking through the gray sky. Grimoire lifted her crimson tinged head and a curt howl released from her vocals. In the stillness of a sickly morn, it intruded on the land like a snake upon a rabbit’s den. When her chin tucked back to her chest, she shook out her fur, relieving the final distracting thoughts from her mind. Grimoire stilled into a statue of dominance: tail arced above her hips and legs splayed slightly for a solid, wide base. Her pearlescent orbs searched the grassy battlefield while her ears pivoted. Where, oh, where was Orion?
