I am the razor in the hands of your heart;
And I am the razor in the hands of God.
The golden mare swallowed hard and watched as the pale filly bounded down the trail in front of her. She couldn't shake this on-edge feeling, coupled with one of lingering guilt. From the brief conversation thus far with her daughter, Evaline couldn't be certain that Psychedelic was the one whom she referred to as her father. God knows what happened the filly after she disappeared from the Dunes -- she could have been picked up by any old soul, and honestly, what were the chances that Psychedelic would return to the islands and run into his long lost daughter he never knew he had? But the painted brute's scent was here. Evaline was almost certain of it. Maybe her mind was playing tricks on her. Maybe this was just another ill effect from the trauma she experienced.
Nonetheless, the palomino mare tried to push these uneasy feelings away for the time being. As Talya disappeared from view down the trail among the trees, Evaline did her best to focus more on Persephone. There was value in prying a bit with this mare, too. Any information she could get out of her that would benefit the Prairie could be good for her son. So she offered the mare a half-hearted smirk when the questions fell from her lips. "I live in the Dunes these days." She explained, taking short, but more sturdy strides down the forested path. "And I've lived here on the isles long enough to birth several children, who as you know, are old enough to have their own children now." She explained.
"Persephone. Have you heard of a stallion named Asp?" She asked curiously, one yellow ear lobe flicking forward and back. "My intention isn't to scare you, but to at least put his name on your radar. He's caused trouble here on Luthien before, both for the Prairie and those that have resided in the Forest."
