Caelon listened to him speak a little more carefully this time, and laughed to herself. Fairy world? Weren't there fairies in every world? She pondered what he could have meant by this, but she wasn't quite sure how to ask. It wasn't like she simpy came from another world, right? That couldn't be possible.
Left? Oh! Shit. She'd done it again, bless her. She really should just tell people, shouldn't she? Instead of peering off into space. Although she supposed it didn;t really matter where she "looked" did it? She followed his direction either way, out of both habit and a vague understanding that people prefered if you looked at them when they spoke.
You're right, your not, are you? she spoke softly, thinking aloud. She wasn't usually this foggy, but now it seemed like she was picking everything up just a second or two late. She laughed when it finally clicked I'm sorry I'm making you uncomfortable. she offered an apology of sorts, a slightly awkward smile on her face.
The second voice confused her - she had felt no other humanoid presence on the beach, but she heard it. She liked to think that where her eyes failed her ears excelled, but honestly, she was too ditzy for it to matter. She focused and she still couold't quite figure this presence out, other than maybe they were a little cocky? She kept it to herself this time - lesson learned.
She flinced when she felt the soft brush of fur, Do we have any water thats not salted? she joked some-what nervously. A feline creature, perhaps? She doubted she had reason to be afriad but, at the same time, how was she to tell the difference between a tabbie cat and a cougar? Better safe than sorry, probably.
Oh! Thanks! she waved her right hand back and forth in empty space before finding his and pulling herself up. She paused a moment once she stood to brush some sand from herself, knowing it was pointless. I'm Caelon. Like the tea. And you are... Tahl? Atleast, thats what she thought she heard his more social companion say.
