Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.

Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

He hadn't the slightest idea as to why he had called upon the other brute. He really should have just wandered around the changed world before him. Minded his own business, kept to himself. Peii would be interested to see if he even bothered to show up. He wouldn't blame him if he didn't. Aindreas owed him absolutely nothing and probably had his own crap to deal with. Nonetheless, he decided to wait for at least 2 days. In the meantime he intended to find some grub and closer survey the land so as not to waste any time.

Not wanting to waste any more time the russian boy rose from his seated position and turned from the vast golden scene below. His thick tail brushed ever more dead leaves into the abyss. His heart felt heavy, hollow. He had always been a considerably empty soul anyways. Going through the motions of life, doing as he was assigned, watching the life drain from countless lives without a second thought. The fact that he even had feelings anymore was miraculous in it's own. Now that he was left with literally nothing it seemed the beast was at a loss for what to do with himself at all. Perhaps he would finally go crazy.... perhaps he should just jump from the cliff and help everyone out. Nah, that would be a bit rash.

He sighed deeply, amber orbs searching for something to eat. He wandered for a while, surveying the area and taking in the strange new smells further. Peii never went too far from the cliff he had voiced his call from. Just in case.

He smelled it before he saw it; a small rabbit was rummaging through the brush just south of where Pompeii stood. Massive paws carried him silently to his destination, he thought about how lucky he was for there to be a small critter so near after all. He came up behind the rabbit, crouched deep in the bushes. Fast as lightning he struck, killing it instantly as he brought his enormous paw down upon its neck. It snapped clean and the little guy was gone before he even knew it. Pompeii was ravenous so there were no seconds spared as he devoured his kill.

At around mid afternoon, Peii had settled back on the edge of the clearing. He stood stoic, looking out again at the changed world. It seemed there was even a new mountain range. What in the hell happened here he thought to himself over and over. He really needed some goddamn answers. This wasn't natural. Maybe that's why he hadn't thrown his body over the edge like a depressed doll. This place was thriving with something new. He needed to know all about it.

He heard the leaves rustle behind him and turned his head over his shoulder to see the source. He had come. He had actually responded to the russian beast's call. His bright, yellow eyes stared in surprise. It was nice to see a familiar face after so long being alone. He turned completely and lowered his giant skull to the brute.

"Greetings Comrade"

He said in his thick accent.

"I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised you actually came. I am lucky you were so close as to hear my call"

Pompeii
The smell of smoke lies in the air
Ashes, ashes in my hair
I stare into the graying skies
Only then did I realize
The fire shooting from the mountain
Like a big, hot, reeking, boiling fountain
Stone-still, I await my death
Smoke obstructs my every breath
I hear my people’s deadly cries
Quickly, quickly, I close my eyes
