PRIME MINISTER'S DECREE

"None." - Leader

The Offspring

Diccon (Cicada x Khar'pern)

Rules

• The Vulcan Peak is where homeless mares come to live as a sisterhood. Stallions may not live here except as captives or companions for the Leaders.

• Warriors keep mainly to fighting, Thinkers keep mainly to raiding, and Politicians may do both, neither, or act as diplomats. Members may issue their own battles and raids, but should generally consult the General, Codebreaker or Prime Minister for permission.

• All major decisions are determined by vote, but the Prime Minister maintains order within the Peak and has the final say.

• Elections for leadership positions will be held every TLI summer, provided the qualifying criteria are met.

• You can find detailed information about how the Peak works on the Rules page.

Make Me Believe It

Hard gaze refused to temper, even at the sight of Jetta seeming to suffer from what was twisting her mind. She was not angry with her sister, simply wary and ...guarded Her walls were built and her heart a stone, but she would not deny her love for her sister as deep as it was.

She stayed by Jetta’s side as the other rushed to the bank of the stream. Standing solidly by her side, Adelheid knew there was very little that would truly take her away from her sister, unlike in her past when she craved to explore away from herr mother’s side. With every passing moment of wordlessness, her concern began to grow. Her mind raced through all the possible things Jetta could have to tell her, the different truths and untruths the visions would have given her. It was not until her sister pulled her face from the water again that the blue eyes looked straight into her face to hear the news of that her all seeing eyes watched.

The news hit Adelheid like a blast of a blizzard’s wind. The cold froze her gut but all that could be seen on her face was a moment’s widening of her eyes and a sharp exhale of breath. Her last words to her mother rang loudly in her mind, beginning at a whisper and raising to a howl.

’You look pretty damn alive.’

Silence suddenly hit her thoughts. Instead, a crashing body. Limbs mistaken for branches, and branches that could have been limbs came crashing down on her yet again. Her heart curled in her chest, but still nothing registered on her face save a shift in her uneven breathing. Had her mother died in some horrific accident, or had she simply drifted off to sleep in peace and contentment. What if she had been able to be there for her, by her side. Would Inka still be alive?

Deep, resonating shame filled her body, causing a single shiver through her spine. After a stony silence, she slowly reached out to Jetta, blowing gently in her face, a hope of comfort to her sister.

I could not be angry with you, Jetta. Her voice was oddly soft, creepily hollow and void of emotion. Rage that normally filled her being was tempered to a cold, brittle, steel. How… how did she die? Was anyone there?
