Part of his mind had wondered if it was making up the call, if his acquaintance wasn't just a figure of his imagination. That same part worried that perhaps his mind had cracked and fractured again as it had so many times before, and that he was once again going crazy. He was always a bit obsessive compulsive, I wanted to be perfect at everything and have everything be exactly right, but he was not normally crazy. Not anymore at least. And so it was with a great deal of relief that he actually came upon the other route and found that he was in fact real. And all of a sudden, all of it had come flooding back to him. He had remembered bits and pieces of their last meeting… The blood, the water… But now he remembered more. Starting with the brute's name - Pompeii. He also remembered some of his story, and remember his sister, Saiorse. Aindreas had met her two, and Hugh membered feeling attraction for her… But it have never gone beyond that. After all, their meeting had been brief and singular. In fact it could be aptly said that Aindreas had more emotion and connection with Pompeii then he had ever had with the sister of Pompeii. That was not to say that he had ever felt any romantic connection to Pompeii, but rather something like a brotherly connection. Although Aindreas had been born into a litter with both one brother and one sister, he how grown up separate from them and did not feel much of a connection with either of them. Years later when he had grown up, he had met both of them again. His brother had soon after died, and ever since then his sister have been trying to salvage the relationship. She felt terrible that he had been forced to grow up all alone, but she just did not understand. If his brother had never put any effort into it, so Aindreas had never had a good relationship with his brother. Nor how do you had a good relationship with either of his half brothers, Vladimir and Castiel. He just had not had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with them. All of that was a lie wasn't it? He had had more than ample time to get to know Vladimir …
At any rate, that was a lot of years of solitude, of a lack of personal connection. And yet, the one thing that Aindreas had always desired was family. With the ability to trust another inexplicably and without any doubt. He had thought that when he had pups with hocus-pocus, that connection would be made. He had been wrong, a connection had to be made, it did not come at random or just because two were related by blood. If he was being honest, that was the real reason he was replying to Pompeii's call. They had had that immediate connection, and the formation of a bond seemed likely. The only thing that ruined it was the fact that Pompeii had left. And yet now he was back. And when Aindreas laid his eyes upon him, he could see that Pompeii was just as surprised that Aindreas had made an appearance. Aindreas had greeted him by merely speaking the others name , And in response Pompeii had tipped his head in acknowledgment.
' greetings, Comrade. I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised you actually came. I am lucky you were so close I was to hear my call.'
Aindreas nodded with the slightest of smiles. "It is true - at one time, this place was small enough so that you could hear another's call if they were loud enough from just about anywhere within block the forest. Much has happened since you were last here. Each pack is bigger, each land is bigger, everything is moved about. I heard you only because you were on this mountain chain, and it now communicates with my pack." The ivoro furrowed his brow slightly him purse his lips as he looked away. The last time they had seen each other, he had been a mere pawn in the game. Now he was an Alpha. " The rock walls work as an amplifier, and the sound travels far. It would be a good way to spy on someone else, if only we could figure out how to use it. But it any rate that's not why I'm here… I'm here because… because you are here. Why are you here?" and that was the question wasn't it? Why had he returned? Perhaps the first question should have been instead why did you leave, but that did not matter anymore considering it was in the past, and the past could never be undone.
Aindreas peered at the other-he did not look much different at all. Time change somethings, but not all things. But time had changed Aindreas. " I… Well like I said, many things have changed since you've been gone. If you remember me talking about my father, he left to roll a pack in a different land. And left me in charge of his. More than that, details of old that talked about the origins of this place have come to bear. Magick has been released back into this place, and nothing has gone untouched. That is why the lands are different. And that is why I am different." Aindreas focused his gaze upon Pompeii, looking into his soul. It still did not feel natural, and he doubted it ever would, but it was easier. But he did not actually need to look into Pompeii's soul, he knew that Pompeii was overall a wolf with a good heart. No, his purpose had been to illuminate his gaze. Aindreas had always had blue eyes, but he now had the eyes of a tempest-they could glow. " as it turns out, my father's family was descendent from those of a different land, but some of them came here to get away. They held magic in their blood, I know that magic is released, so do I. I am a tempest - sworn enemy of the vampires and defender of the Arcus Irae, the rainbow wolves." His gaze crew serious, and all trace of a smile fell from his lips, leaving a frown, leaving worry. "I would like to say that I am lying to you, that such fantastical and mythical creatures do not exist. But they do-and you needed to know before exploring anywhere else here."
