I wasn’t expecting to come back nearly as soon as I departed, thankfully I hadn’t gotten far. Day had just broke when I had run into the girl and it was still low in the sky by the time we got here. I had traveled mostly in silence along the way, my blue and red eyes sharp and looking out for any signs of trouble for either of us as I make my way to the plains. Soon as we were out of the valley though we passed through Enocra woodland. I took care to tell her of the land, that if we had gone northwest we would have been in Taviora, but it was more me teaching her what I could about the lands we went through. Once through the forest though, it was almost shocking how quick it changed from dense forest to fields. We encountered less and less trees and more tall grasses, flowers and hills. The sky was noticeably clear, barely a cloud in the sky, and while normally that might have been welcome if it wasn’t for the fact I could see the parched grass. It was like that in Enocra too.
I think on that for a while as we walk. Soon the scent of the border is upon us. I don’t see anyone here but I note that Aster’s scent is not far off. ”We are here, and in luck, seems Aster has passed by recently. She is the Empress of the lands, though, not much older than you or I.” I inform her lightly, tipping my head once more so that she follows me more into the depths of the plains. I walk slowly, making sure Sunai does not wander far from me. These times were not as relaxed as they used to be. Tensions were high, though I know that is also no help of Aster. I hadn’t heard of the whole situation, but I did know that a wolf came and tried to steal that loud-mouth Mugen’s well… thing? I am not sure what to refer to them as, but since that incident she had also been scarce, as was her child. Perhaps she felt she was not safe her and retreated to the north. It wasn’t ultimately my problem though.
I was certain she was around here though, but I pause now that we are a little ways into the pack. I don’t want to trespass to far with Sunai, I thought about her comfort with being around me here. Entering a pack could be dangerous on her own, but I know our pack is mostly reasonable… Mostly. ”We will wait here for her now, I don’t feel like attracting too much attention right off the bat, but nor did I feel the need to keep us on the outside like outsiders when I have such standing here.” I am not shy about my position, or modest. I am an advisor, my mother was as well to Aster’s mother, really a nice history between our two families.
With that though all I can do now is wait for Lady Aster and hope she doesn’t go doing anything too wild today.
