The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

He chuckled after her question, causing a fireball of rage to build up with in her. Her shades lowered to half mast as she slit her eyes and glared at him, and at the same time her lips rose to release a low guttural snarl from her alto vocals. He would dare laugh at her question? Did he think that her pain and suffering due to his command had been funny? Did he think himself above her, even though she was now an alpha and he was not? But she seethed in silence, gritting her teeth as she held onto the threads of control that she had left. Had it not been enough for him to find her on the beach at the lake? Had he had to follow her here, to her own home? The home she had been forced to find it and have it because her previous home was stolen away from her? Her ivory pools stared at him, waiting for his answer. What answer could he give though, that she would find acceptable at all?

' what am I doing here? I've yet to reach that conclusion myself.'

Nimueh shook her head and bit her tongue to prevent herself from snapping quick angered words at him. She may have always been the one who made the plans, who came up with the brilliant ideas, but could he not have been wise enough to figure that all out before he came here and disturb her? She had no desire for a play-by-play, no care for a patient 'let's wait and see game'. She was here because he had given her the ultimatum to stay and die or to leave and live. And right now? She was considering giving him the same.

'All I want from you Nimueh, is you. So, I figured what's better than this? Join your pack? My, have the roles reversed.'

Nimueh opened her lips to say something but then quickly shut them again, and instead picked up her sneer. She waited for the other shoe to fall, for him to spit out the joke that was no doubt waiting for her. She did not want to be the butt of anyone's joke ever again. This place has provide her a new, fresh start. Where no one New her or her reputation. And then she could see through this… Or at least she thought she could? He had always been too proud, far too proud to take orders from anyone else. He had been strong and wise to, which had made him a good ruler of the time, but this? What was the ploy? What was his endgame? She could never see him falling into line, especially not to obey her. The moments past, and uneasy silence hanging thickly over them. But there was no joke. There was no bottom line. He said nothing else on the matter. Slowly her sneer dissipated and instead, her brows raised in confusion and curiosity. She cannot trust him, she could never trust him again, but didn't the saying go keep your friends close but your enemies closer? We are better but she keep an eye on him then right beneath her own nose?

"Let me get this whole thing… Perfectly clear. You… Gave up your throne… Gave up your land… Gave up all of your power in order to completely do a switcheroo? You want to go from Alpha to Omega? From being the top dog, the head honcho, the king to being the underdog, the pawn? And the best part of it all, is that you wish to serve me?" Big streaming droplets began to fly from her eyes down her cheeks, as fits of uncontrollable laughter filled her. There is nothing happy about this. But it was so absurd, and the idea of her actually believing him was so outlandish, that it was funny. She couldn't help but laugh. She half believed that when she opened her eyes again, he would be gone. But, alas, in between her fits of laughter, she could see through the peoples of her shades that he was still in front of her, staring at her. Eventually, her abdominal muscles began to hurt and the fit of laughter simmered off. Nimueh reached up with one of her front paws and wiped out her eyes, pushing the tears away and flattening out some of the weighted down fur. She swallowed, and with it came the taste of her own salty tears-the result of the ones that had dribbled into her mouth, or that had flowed through her nares. She blinked a few times, until she could bring him back into focus.

" you are being serious? This isn't going to once again nip me in the butt? You really want to join my pack? I just… I don't understand it. I don't understand your reasoning, I don't understand why you would give up your pack and everything else. But if you really want to live here, go right the fuck ahead. This doesn't mean I trust you, because I don't. This doesn't mean I like you, because I don't. The only reason I'm allowing you to stay here, so that I can keep an eye on you and have advanced knowledge before you once again betray me. But living here… That won't give you me. I will let you see me from time to time, since I am your ruler. But that is it. We are not friends. You ruined that."
