At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

_________________________________________________________________________ New sights and smells reached the femme as she explored a new area of the lands that had been changed by the magic returning. Green pools began to examine the plants and shrubbery around her to see what would be able to add to her store of healing herbs. Even though she had a full stock pile right now, it was only a matter of time before something would happen and she would need to stock up again. Khaleesi was so engrossed in her thoughts that she didn’t realize that she was joined by another. Luckily for her, the male that approached was not hostile or seemed to want to do her harm. With a smile, the snowy white femme introduced herself to the stranger after he stated his name, Cynbel. Khaleesi had always been a talkative varg, and this was no exception as she continued to speak, asking what brought the male to this area. The male wagged his plume in a friendly gesture as he spoke, "Nice to meet you as well, miss Khaleesi.” For a few moments the brute just looked at her, and the femme blushed while averting her gaze, unsure of what it was that he was thinking as he looked at her. “I've come traveling. I'm from a pack pretty far away, almost a two month journey. I decided to leave the pack to my right hand and start a new adventure. So far, it's led me here.” Khaleesi had always been an adventurous girl, and so she could understand wanting to go out and explore new lands. But if he had been alpha of another pack, shouldn’t he have stayed there? Wasn’t that what an alpha was supposed to do? But then again, Kalgalath had been an incredible alpha and he had recently left. She didn’t think any less of him, as a wolf or as a leader, and so she could only assume that something similar went on with Cynbel. ”Well you chose a good time to come exploring these lands. Everything is changing, so it’s been on big adventure, even for those of us that have always lived here.” Khaleesi had been around other vargs with chronic injuries, and she tried not to stare, but her gaze did shift to the way he was sitting with his leg a few times, even if she didn’t mean to. The brute caught on to her gaze though, but instead of being mad at her look, he chuckled and went into an explanation. "When I was younger my leg became dislocated in a fight. We popped it back in and let it heal from his break, but it's never been the same. I'm still a pretty decent soldier." Khaleesi’s healing mind wondered what could have been done differently to try and make the leg have healed normally. From what her mother had taught her though, she would have done the same thing. Dislocations needed to be placed back into their normal anatomy to regain proper blood supply and heal, so why had his limb left him with some trouble? Once more she blushed, even though he didn’t seem upset, she felt rude for staring. ”I’m sorry for staring. I’m trained as a healer so I was just curious. I’m sorry that happened to you, but I’m glad it doesn’t seem to bother you much.” Their conversation continued in a natural progress as the male spoke once more. "Khaleesi, what brings you to this wonderful place?" The femme’s green orbs lit up at his question, she always grew excited when she talked about the art of healing. ”Well, with the way all the lands changed I wanted to know where I would be able to get more herbs to keep my stores full. So I was exploring the brush near the waters here. There’s lots of great stuff growing around these swampy lands.” She didn’t want to bore him with talks of shrubs and plants, but she couldn’t keep the excitement from her vocals as her plume wagged behind her.
