aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Warriors are not born and they are not made,
Warriors create themselves

She nuzzled against him before speaking, and Aindreas froze, once again biting the inside of his cheek to keep himself from grimacing. How he had come to be like this, he didn't know. The best guess that he had was that at some point along the way, he had developed aversion to physical contact. Was it probably from his neglected child hood? Perhaps… Or perhaps he had a medical condition. Whichever the correct answer was, Aindreas didn't have an answer to it. Whatever it was, rented him from ever enjoying the touch of another, even when the other was his soulmate. She stepped away, and he nearly breathed a sigh of relief. He enjoyed her company, and he enjoyed having her close, just not… That close. She spoke about going in exploring the river, to see if the falls were still there, and then just a moment later, commented that she really wasn't that hungry. Aindreas shrugged, and moved away from the groundhog hole. There was no point in putting the work in if the food would be wasted. If there was one thing he hated, it was being wasteful - though he was a carnivore and ate meat, he didn't kill for fun. And he hated leaving anything left over. Lives were to be cherished.

His paws moved him away from the whole, and he moved her side again before continuing deeper into the territory. He looked at her and then look forward… Not sure where they should go first. If the pack had been what it used to be-he would know what to do. You could show her most of the pack land in one day, but not now. Now he hardly knew the land he call home, and he didn't know where they were going. Nor did he know what she was really looking for l. Was she looking for just exploring… A place to hunt? A place to make her den? He peered at her again, and then released a big sigh. " so… Do you… Like it so far? I know, I know, it is a lot of trees up on trees… But there used to be a lot of really interesting places within this land. Caves, I stream for fishing… Not that I like fishing, because I don't. But some people do. You might? Or do you not? It's totally OK if you do! I just… Don't… I'm rambling again… I… And then there was a mountain in the center with good views, but I guess we have a lot of those. But if we had that way, we could climb the mountain and if were lucky at nightfall see the aurora borealis. If you would like? That's what this land used to be called after all, and it's why it got its name." he shook his head, mad at himself for once again losing his tongue and allowing it to run away with him. But he did not know what else to say-where did she want to go? What did she want to do? What was it essential for a new pack member to know? Why was she so beautiful?

Through trial and error, pain and suffering,
And their ability to conquer their own faults
