Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

If it were possible for them to converse as most do, it would likely surprise Arturio that Nari often wondered why he lingered near Glorall, and even in Glorall. The white male had thought about that often. Why did he stay? The reality of it was he didn't have anyone else. Sure, he had made a couple friends since his arrival to Moladin, but there was no real connection. Strangers crossing paths and then those paths separated. However in discovering that he had imprinted on someone, it was a different connection, something real, that he could quantify. Granted, he was never the sort to impose himself on anything; it just felt better being near where she called home. Arturio also could not deny that being near a pack, while not quite part of it, brought a sense of comfort too. While it was true that he could have stayed in Iromar at Azariah's invitation, the swamps did not feel like home.

And so he had wandered, and so he had learned of the special kind of magic that belonged only to Moladin. In turn, that fated him to Nari in a chance gathering. It did not begrudge the one who called the gathering, nor the dark coated lady who seemed to tolerate his presence. More recently, he thought of some of the things Elohim had said. There was certainly more to this pack, but he could adapt, of that much he was certain. Even a wolf like Arturio could find his place where secrets were far more kept while he a quite honest and truthful wolf rarely needed secrets.

As he began to settle down to enjoy his... well it was more of a snack than a meal. His ears perked up. Arturio was ever aware of Nari's presence, feeling her closer now than usual. The large wolf sat up as she place herself before him. Arturio offered a slight shrug. "Quiet days, nothing exciting. Staying out of trouble," he said. It wasn't a lie. His days were quiet, there was nothing exciting about them. "I did happen upon another of the pack. Boy named Elohim," the wolf continued for the moment, but left it there. He felt there wasn't much more to add to that, she didn't need to know what they had talked about. Granted, it did occur to him that Elohim might have alerted any number of wolves to his presence in Glorall. Or at least one wolf. Arturio was unconcerned by it. Such information would have happened sooner or later.
