At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

After the two of them had parted ways, Drizzt had not been able to get her off of his mind. Though he hardly knew her, she completed his heart and soul, and he knew that any day away from her would be painful and dreadful. But time away from her was truly not that terrible. It gave him time for clarity - and so he had used the time to think. He was not obsessive about her, and he could not justly say that he was in love with her. But was there but the potential for love? Absolutely. He was lucky, he supposed. He could have been bonded to a female who was ugly, or rude, or stupid. He could have been bonded to someone The complete opposite of him, or perhaps even to his enemy. Or, there was a chance that his match had already found their own mate, and wanted nothing to do with him. And yet none of those possibilities had come to pass. Instead, his heartstrings we're tied for you turn it he with a beautiful brindle glass dove of ivory and ebony, the two swirled together to create unique perfection. But in all reality, he could not get ahead of himself… They barely knew each other, and would have all the time in the world to get to know each other.

… But he wouldn't be telling the truth if he said he wished to see her sooner rather than later. That had been the reason that he had returned here. He had been in high hopes of seeing Kira again, but what he found instead was a different femme fatale. This one seemed to be lost in her own thoughts, her jaw lowered to the cool waters of the falls. It was so out of a place to find a waterfall-in the middle of a swamp-but it was like finding a diamond in the rough. Drizzt couldn't help but think it to be a beautiful place, and he was not surprised in the least that another had chosen to spend their time here as well. Indecision now hit him… He had a choice to make. The first option was to turn around and leave before she saw him, and the other was to stay. Though he was his father's son, he lacked the social awkwardness that Aindreas possessed. He did not like physical contact, but it did not injure him either. Sometimes it was enjoyable… But only with those he truly knew and cared about, such as some of his family. And so, the idea of running never occurred to him. Instead, he went to the water, staying quite a few feet away from her so as not to scare her, and lowered his rump to the floor. His tail wagged in a slow but steady rhythm to show that he was calm, and meant her no harm.

" hello Miss. I hope I have not startled you… You just seemed alone and lonely and I figured that if it was possible it would be nice to change at least one of those for you and give you company. My name is Drizzt, may I have the honor of yours?" He slipped his front paws out a bit, so that his head and shoulders were hunkered ever so slightly so as to be less intimidating. He was not bulky and muscular like his father was, but rather was tall, lanky, and lithe. Still, he did not much imagine that any wolf would much enjoy having a stranger she did not know sneak up upon her.
