aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

Apparently the question bug had taken deep root within Sera. Vladimir had suggested that they go and search for glowworms, but they had not taken much progress in the way of going deeper into the cave before her voice broke the silence with another serious question. It was not as shocking or as awkward as her first question, but it still put him off. Not that he was upset about it, it just sent him back on his heels and easily got passed his guard. Although to be fair, around Sera he did not have much of a fence up. Still, he stopped and opened his mouth agape at her words.

'Do you want to get married?'

Vladimir looked at her, and could see her eyes looking for him in the darkness. Those few words have been jumbled and rushed, but it was nothing compared to how quickly she spoke the next few. And yet as he watched her, he realized that her eyes were not searching for him in the darkness, but rather were looking toward the rules. What she was seeing, or what she was trying to see, he could not know. At first her idea had seemed… Well to be honest strange. He knew that his father had not been married to his first mate, nor to his second. That didn't mean that they didn't care for each other, or that they weren't loyal to each other… It was just that marriage didn't really happen in this part of the world. And yet his lovely heart seems so set on it-already she was painting an image in her mind of how to decorate it. His gaped lips closed and pushed into a smile, a soft curling of his lips that curled the skin of the corners of his eyes as he looked at her. If marriage would make her happy, then marriage it would be. But there was no reason to tell her that now. He opened his mouth to put her off the trail, but then she change the subject and left ahead, tugging him behind her.

'Found em.'

And found them she did. She pulled him into a small den, its roof low enough that he had to dip his head if he did not want to run it directly into the glowworms themselves. Neither of them fully entered it, each of them sticking their head in. She talked about having a starry sky above them at all times, but all he saw was the reflection of them in her eyes. Even the darkness could not dim her beauty or her aura, and he could tell how happy she was, how much wonder these simple beings gave her. Within a few moments, she had pulled or head back out of the small den, and had questioned how many they should take. Vladimir bit his lip and thought on it. The last time they had each taking one, and have use that much like lanterns in order to light the way. But they wanted to use them now to light up much more than directly in front of them… They would need to grab quite a few, especially if they wanted the glow worms to prosper and hopefully reproduce. Last time, it had not mattered if the glow worms were injured-they did not need to live long, only long enough for the pair of wolves to find their way out of the cavern. But now… It would be best if they were not injured. "Wait here and enjoy the stars of yours… I'll be right back."

The young prince reached out and gave her a quick kiss on the cheek, as if he had done it 1000 times and it was no longer a big deal. But it was still a big deal to him, but he had an idea on his mind and didn't want to waste any time. He turned from the glowworms and back into the darkness and took off at a steady run. He had not been able to go this fast before because he was leading the blind essentially. Though he could see in the dark, his mate could not and thus he had to go at a pace that was safe for her. But now he could go much faster, and he barreled down the hall, listening and enjoying to the sound of his paws echoing all around him. It was like the beginning of drums, a rhythm, a song made all on his own. All it wasn't for him, it was for her. It was all for her. It was much quicker for him to travel like this, and before he knew it he was out in the main mouth of the cave and then he was out of the cave entirely. His gaze swept up and around him, looking for any tree or shrub with big leaves. I did not take him too long to find one, and though it was not as big as he imagined, it would have to do. His incisors gently bit two of the leaves off at the stem and carried them proudly in his mouth back into the cave. Before he knew it, he was back to her, and he laid one leaf on top of the other, making sure that the leaves pointed in opposite directions but overlapped as well. He gestured to the glow worms and then to the leaf. "We will need quite a few to brighten our den my love, but they can't get harmed or they will die. And so we can knock them off and put them onto these leaves and carry the back. And then… I guess we will have to leave them by one wall and hope that they take root and climb up. I think it is our best option. What do you think?"
