The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Arturio was doing his best to tolerate the day. He still traveled to and from Glorall, still having not been forced to leave. It was likely the alpha knew at least of him by now. The white giant figured next time he went back, he would seek the other male out if he didn't find him first. There were likely things in Nari's pack he wouldn't agree with, but it was the only place he felt any amount of comfort. The terrain reminded him of his old pack, and his imprint was also there. As he slowly learned more about the mute warrior, Arturio felt in his core they were more akin to perhaps siblings or a strong friendship in their bond. All the better, he noted. Something romantic was certainly not on his radar, nor did he ever expect it to be again in his lifetime.

But, he did not let his thoughts linger there. Instead, he moved through the network of caves that made up the Grotto. The drought had reached this far, he noted with a frown. At least within the caves it was cooler, but there seemed to be little water trickling down the walls. Arturio felt it would be a hard summer if the weather didn't cooperate. There were worse things. However, the white brute chose to not let his thoughts stay there and simply explore further into the caves, using the sunlight creeping through some of the openings over his head as a guide, being mindful not to travel so deeply he couldnot see his nose in front of him. Getting lost was certainly not on today's agenda.
