The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

I would explode just to save your life

He wasn’t sure what to do with himself. Last time he saw Sen he had a girl, two of them even! One he liked Meteor guessed he would call it ‘normally’ then the other apparently was called an imprint? No, more like someone cast Bond on them without asking! That’s what it was! Not that he was complaining. While they only really had one serious interaction Meteor Rain, well there was only one way to describe it, he felt he was head over heels for her. She was nice and pretty and he knew his mom, dad and grandparents would make fun of him. His grandparents in particular both had other relationships before they found each other, they were like Soul Mates themselves, started out as friends and then eventually became what they were and then had his dad and all that other happy stuff. It was crazy, but he just also was too shy to get up to her and talk to her more too. It felt strange… like he was an over excited puppy still. However, today he was anything but…

He was nearly dying from the horrible heat that overtook the lands. Never had his family done exactly well in hot environments. They had super thick fur meant to live in the harshest colds and he was no different. Cold environments vitiated his ability to take this heat. He nearly dragged himself into the shade of the grotto and out of the hot sun. Panting heavily as he almost comically rolled himself into the shade of the cave. ”Cooollll need… cooooooll” He drawled out pathetically. Laying on the stone certainly helped to a degree. He didn’t understand why it was so hot and cloudless in this area. He laid there for a good few moments before his bright emerald green eyes spotted a white pelt standing out starkly against the dark.

He jumped up to his tan and red paws, his meteor like marking on his chest showing obviously as his gaze narrowed upon the white figure trying to make him out. He was huge, there was no doubt about that, but he knew his grandfather was bigger than any wolf here, himself included, and Meteor Rain hadn’t seen anyone larger than he was, though this male was certainly very close if not the same size as him. ”Hey! You escaping from this heat too?” Meteor Rain asked, panting lightly. He was a pretty friendly wolf all things considered and was sort of what someone would call the ‘dad’ friend. Bad jokes and all. However, his daunting size and his heritage gave him confidence in that he didn’t worry about strangers all that much. El’Zeath though, she was a different matter altogether of course, she made his stomach feel… floaty. Regardless, Meteor Rain was far from an ungenuine wolf, and he hoped this wolf would be the same.
