News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

She had given birth a while back now. So early in the season the snow still was happening around the mountain at least. Now her pups were starting to wander around the den, and she didn’t need to give them all the attention she since did though they still relied on her milk for sustenance. She found herself eating more, and providing herself with all the small meals possible. Thankfully, Alistair wasn’t far either and now and then he would bring a treat from Taviora’s currently bountiful prey for her to eat. He was good, even if they weren’t mates, they were still imprints, and he did his best to care for her, Salem, Aristotle and Alla. They were all wonderful children. Sometimes she worried for them walking around the rocks. She heard rockslides happened not along ago after all that claimed the lives of a wolfess on the same side she was now denned on, yet she thought also it would be okay for now.

However, her own condition made it hard for her to take care of the other wolves who had given birth. Thankfully Niviaq was still doing okay, and Moonstone’s own brith had gone smoothly. Thus far it seemed Spirane was blessed with good luck meaning that the births over all had gone well with healthy puppies to boot. Today she was resting at her den, not far she could hear the squeals of her children at play in the wooded area near by close to the Taviora-Spirane border. She could look down at them from here, though she is distracted then by a howl, a call telling someone that they had given birth. Perhaps she could check in on this mother? Moonstone had called to her children to not wander far before gathering her own herbal supplies and started making her way up the mountain.

She thought it was a bit higher up at that she had heard the call. Part of her wondered if it was yet again another good birth. It took her a while to find the location of the den, but she didn't’ get to the den when she saw the wolfess on the ground on her path towards it. She looked fine there was no strong scent of blood, nothing really obvious. ”Hey, miss? Hey!’ She nudged her slightly. She was a lot smaller than Moonstone was, she was blessed with her great grandmother’s size as a mountain wolf, strong too, yet she picked a rather gentle profession. There was no response though. She looked around, spotting the golden wolf not far away, he was… very small. She never thought she had seen a wolf look like that before. However, Moonstone certainly was big enough, and strong enough, to slowly slip herself under the wolfess and draped her over her back. She grabbed the goat pelt filled with her supplies and started towards him, spotting the den and hearing the soft cry of puppies within.

The den entrance was… very small, at least to Moonstone it was, so she had to make due with laying the wolfess at the entrance again, gently rolling her from her shoulders and too the ground. She didn’t know what was wrong, there was no excessive smell of blood that would indicate injury from birth. She simply was really weak.
”She needs rest, then food.” She said to herself, though her gaze snapped over to the male. ”Are you her partner?” She called to him, not knowing if he was a spurious kind of wolf or not. ”I need you to down towards the Taviora border, in my den I have some left overs there. Could you grab them?” She didn’t know their relationship, but his scent was clearly that of a Spirane wolf and she expected he would help, else she would make him help. Wasn’t like he could really tell a wolfess almost double his size no could he?
