Okay! So I imagine Mariael would have probably told him she sees something in him - something that tells her he could do great things for the Bay herd on Tinuvel, and that he could prosper on the northern island, and that she feels he belongs there, and she doesn't feel that way about just everyone - probably would have explained it takes a special horse of fortitude to not only survive on Tinuvel, but to appreciate it for what it is - and she thinks he has that in him. She would probably explain the different members of the herd if he pushed about who was staying there - her blind sister she's never been apart of since they were born, her younger brother, Jusket and Jola who wanted to stay through the winter, Paradiso whose chosen to stay, etc. etc. I think she'd tell him if he walked away from this, he'd be doing himself a diservice. She might ALMOST tell him she wouldn't stop him, but I think she'd stop herself before saying it because as much as she DOES believe he's made for Tinuvel, she's crushin on him too and doesn't want him to just slip away.
SO if he asked why she was crying, I think she'd have decided to give in and tell him - a show of good faith, maybe... or she's just tired of constantly having it on her mind and not wanting to talk about it with her sister or brother, so she'd beckon him to the mouth of the cave where they could see the blizzard and tell him the story of her father. And she tell him how she ran out to find Nephilim after the blizzard had died only to find a large amount of blood and little else, so she knows her father is dead...
And that would then turn around to wrap-up into her telling him that's why she's so determined to fill the Bay herd with able-bodies - because no one is going to have to go out into a blizzard alone to fight off wolves - the more numbers they have, the more the wolves should leave them be.
NOW for Jetta and Zev, it's all good! I threw that thread on you anyways xD lmfao, Zevulun would definitely have seduced her again ;) ALSO he would be OVER THE MOON to want to be involved in the kids life and would have promised to have visited at LEAST by summer if not before (it would have been earlier - when the babe was born, if I wasn't gonna be gone lmfao) and just basically any way he can be involved, he totally would have. And he'd respect her decision to stay in the Peak (having a strong sister has taught him aaall about strong leader ladies lmfao) and tell her he'd just have to come visit her more often so she didn't forget about him ;)
If it's easier for yourself and Dargon to continue and just keep Oswin in the background, I'm totally fine with that! Or the two could excuse themselves from Oswin since it involves their mother if you think they'd want to talk over everything privately. Or, if not, I'm more than willing to throw up an Oswin post when I'm back. Totally your call and what's best for you guys!!!
