At the densest section of the forest, there is a brief clearing where a steady flow of water streams down the slippery stone staircase. The water here is cool and refreshing. Staircase Falls has been rumoured to be the place where reality is met by magic; where peaceful spirits dwell. They are rumoured to have healing powers that are used to help the desperately hurt, though no one has experienced this, except for, perhaps, Kaive.

_________________________________________________________________________ The snow white female was focusing on what was around her, all the foliage, and not paying attention to if anyone else was around her. She was also lost in thought after her recent travels. She had visited a new pack, one with some interesting wolves. Years ago there had been rumors of vampires living in an old pack, but she had never believed those rumors. Truly that was left to the fairy tales and nightmares, and not in the real world. But after she met some teenage vampires who told her that there mother, and alphess of the pack, was also a vampire, she wasn’t so sure anymore. Maybe there really had been vampires in that other pack all those years ago. But that was also before the lands changed. She already knew that Tempests existed, there were 2, and soon to be more, living within Dierne Hrof. Aindreas had told her about the change he went through when the pair were together when the whole world changed under their paws. It was apparently something within his blood, so it happened to Vladimir too and their sister Adara, who would be coming to live in the pack soon. So she knew magic was real, even if it was hard for her to wrap her head around sometimes. If magic was real then what would stop vampires and other evil things to be real as well? But it wasn’t fair to say that vampires were evil. The ones Khaleesi had met didn’t seem that out of the ordinary to her. So maybe vampires and tempests would be just like every other wolf, some good and some bad. But would there be more of a chance of a wolf being bad if they were a vampire? She wasn’t sure, and she didn’t know how many vampires she would encounter to be able to figure it out. The femme shook her head to refocus, examining the plants for the ones that she was looking for, no longer dwelling on the thoughts of what she had learned about the other pack. She had been spending so much time thinking that she didn’t realize the sun was setting. Green orbs waited for her vision to adjust to the dark, and looked over what she had collected, knowing she would have to return for more when the sun was out again. Vocals suddenly reached Khaleesi’s ears, and she jumped at the sudden appearance of a brute. "Are you . . . A healer? Can you help turn me back? I don't want to stay like this forever . . .” She had not heard or scented his approach, and a small yelp escaped from her as she quickly whirled around, her fur standing on end before she processed the words and realized he was not threatening her. ”What? I…” She cleared her throat, her fur settling as her heart stopped racing. She saw his bright crimson orbs, and realized he had no scent to him. He had to be a vampire, just like the ones she had met before. ”Sorry, um. Yes I am a healer, how did you know?” Khaleesi had never met this brute before, so how did he know that about her. Paws shifted as she was unsure how to tell him that she couldn’t help him. She didn’t want to be a disappointment to a varg she had just met, but vampires went beyond her abilities. ”I’m sorry, but I don’t know how to help. I’ve only recently met a vampire, so I still know very little about all of that.” Her ears flattened against her head as she admitted defeat. ”If you have any physical wounds or ailments, I can help with that though. I’m Khaleesi by the way.” She tried to smile at him, hoping there was something she could to help him.
