The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

Anatola was returning from the woodlands after several days of investigating and gathering. The three legged female was humming quietly to herself as she made her way through the familiar stretches of the Grotto. It was the place she made her home, despite Mithos living in Diveen. Pack life was certainly more stable, with others to rely on. A small laugh escaped her. And to torture you... Her early days were still so engrained in her mind that she was skeptical about leaving the wilds. Plus, Diveen had a competent healer, so the Freelands had her. Ana liked it that way. While her skills were rarely put to use since coming to Moladin, she was available for those who had little.

The patchwork female continued along, lost in contemplative thought. Her ears flicked slightly, bright yellow eyes spying another in the early dawn light. Ana continued along, easing along the more firm paths. "Well, at least the drought will dry some of my herbs out quicker," she mused. Right now, it didn't seem so bad. Then again, the sun wasn't high in the heavens yet.

The petite healer was not an imposing figure (though her strong herbal scent was occasionally off-putting when she had her satchel depending on what she carried). The black and white wolf was definitely not a threat, padding along towards Leilani. "Beautiful sunrise, isn't it," she said softly with a smile. Something simple, as it never hurt to make a new friend.
