Her toes curled around the dirt as she ran, long nails digging in with every leap as she raced up the mountainside. If she didn’t hurry she was going to miss it, and a part of her desperately needed this today. With speed and grace only give to those who had called the mountains home since the day of her birth she covered the landscape, every step placed exactly where she needed it even without thinking about it. Though she was young these steep slopes and open fields had been her home, ran in her blood since a time when they were called by a different name even. She was theirs as much as they were hers, along with all who resided under their sheltering peaks.

She raced along at breakneck speed until she neared a ledge which faced westward at one of the highest points on the mountain. To an onlooker it may look as if she was about to leap off and embrace the sky, but she skidded to a daring halt at the very last moment with her sides heaving from the exhilarating exertion. A smile broke over her dark features as she looked out vast ocean as it was being painted in brilliant hues of purple and gold with the sun sinking down below the horizon. She had made it! Just in time as the spectacular sunset show was truly beginning to start now. For a moment she yearned for a special someone to share this special view with, and yet almost immediately she pushed the thought away. She had grown strong on her own, was ruling on her own, and the last thing she needed was someone coming into her life to serve only as a momentary distraction before abandoning her. A harsh thought, one perhaps bequeathed to her by Daenerys own heartbreaks over her life in Moladion but it was still there as a seed planted in her mind even as she tried to simply enjoy the evening.
