The Grotto

Disaster has struck!
Years ago, an earthquake broke open several entrances into a deep, winding series of subterranean systems. It was thought that deep below, underground rivers snaked their way below Moladion. Now, flooding in the Northern reaches of Moladion has proven this theory to be true.

The Grotto is almost entirely submerged. Many of the entrances are completely inaccessible, and those that are only extend a few hundred feet before ending in water. The lower entrances, however, act almost like a giant drain for Moladion. Water pours down into the Grotto's maw as powerful rapids and waterfalls, and large amounts of debris have build up throughout the area. It can be exceptionally dangerous to travel due to the risk of flash-flooding and dams suddenly breaking, but the Grotto does offer the most consistent access across the floodwaters because of those dams.

Note:The Grotto will return to normal once 25 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes.

I would explode just to save your life

Meteor Rain gave a small hum at his agreeance to that the humidity could very well make it worse. It wasn’t an indignant one, more of a more saddened sound, as well as one that gave rise to his hope that that precise thing didn’t happen. Really that would be the end of him. ”Northward bound for me tonight for sure.” He noted dryly to the male, though he wondered if on that northward adventure if he should stop and see Senketsu, as well as maybe try to actually approach his imprint again. It was that weird feeling that drove him to be around her all the more, he should actually talk to her other than being an awkward creature about it. Yes, he would try to do both of those things he thought. For now though he just tried to keep with cooling thoughts as he laid there awkwardly splayed on the rock floor.

He heard the males slight laugh at him, and he only grinned. It was working right? He felt a little better already so he didn’t really care. Given how the other wolf was Meteor figured it wasn’t degrading or judging him, just found him genuinely funny, and Meteor Rain would have too. ”Yours too, huh? Well I mean my whole family was, but I’m telling you if I was back at where they lived it wouldn’t matter how hot it was ‘cause apparently my grandmother MADE blizzards. Suppose that’s too much to ask for though! So a cold winter again would be fantastic!” He didn’t care if he sounded crazy, the idea of the magic of the land his family supposedly came from still enthused him even if they were just pup tales to entertain him as a child. It was those stories that got him wandering all over the lands in search for the mythical place anyway. Though then they stayed here… it wasn’t the place called Wolf Mountain, but something about Moladion kept him and Sen here. Well for Sen it was that woman friend of his and for Meteor it was now El’Zeath… So their were outside influences to this. Though the dream of shoving Wolf Mountain’s existence in Sen’s face because it WAS real still was very much alive.

”OH! By the way, the names’ Meteor Rain. What’s yours stranger?” He asked finally rolling himself back up right remembering his manners at least a little bit. He liked this male though, that was for sure. He was nice and certainly was easy going. Meteor Rain could appreciate that since he hadn’t really been around too many others since him and Senketsu got separated and followed their own paths. He missed his friend, and just company in general. It was deep rooted in Meteor’s blood to be a pack wolf after all and be pretty sociable.
