Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

: Ame :
with every rain comes a fresh breath of life

He didn’t know too much about the pressures of alphaship. He was certain it wasn’t easy, but beyond that Ame was growing less and less aware of how packs ran and worked. He now lived most of his life out and in the wilds. Since the middle of his second year he had wandered the wilds of Moladion, though back in those days the nights were safe and the lands relatively tame. Peace though seemed to be ebbing away, tensions rising between the pack lands that could be felt in the free lands that Ame walked around keeping safe for his fellow loners and other animals that were out there. The night beasts though were something he knew he couldn’t do on his on his own without a few dedicated others.

He pondered his next move when he heard a voice, it was unfamiliar to him, but at the same time it rang bells in his memories. He turned quickly, sky blue and gold flecked eyes meeting with a familiar site, though admittedly one he had not see in many many years. ”Kalseru?” It was unmistakably her, his father had made quite the point to have had Ame meet his imprint’s children after all when they were small, then of course they met again at the time when Diveen wolves needed to stay in Spirane and again at the two year old party. Back then Ame was a shy child, so he didn’t really converse with her much, and he found her three brothers a bit… intimidating, especially when they were all together which they weren’t found far apart those days. Perhaps it was his own shyness and that that kept him and his family mostly to themselves back then. Still he offered the now wolfess a warm smile and his tail waved a few times in a friendly greeting, though last he heard she was now the alphess of Spirane. What was she doing here?

Ame knew more than any other that fate had a strange way of playing things out. The woman had grown tall and clearly was strong, which was fitting given her new position. ”This one hasn’t seen you in a very long time. You are well?” He asked though his ears were still tilted back slightly in a softer shyness than how it was in the past. It felt… strange seeing her after so long and knowing their parents own relationship of being Imprints they were already bonded in some way even though they were never close as children. Ame blamed himself mostly for that, being shy… it was just how he was as a child. Being in the wilds though he had changed a lot. He was stronger, more bold, and even had some scars now from his time out here, he was hardly the meek child that was crouched behind his smaller sister or his parents anymore.

However, that awkwardness still sat with him sometimes, though part of him wondered if Kalseru would believe the wolf was the same child from back then. Regardless of all of those matters it was good to see her again, it was just strange to see an alpha wandering around the freelands by themselves, and slowly becoming unheard of. Most kept themselves busy in their packs, but Ame could guess it was probably nice to get away from it all now and then if they could.
