Jai-5 carryover: $10    (Just kidding)

Re(3): Question re Watch & Wager cash back

I was looking at the W & W cash back terms and conditions for 'heavy hitters'.

For the lowest level, the Silver Tier, they state:

Wager at least $5,000 per month and you are eligible for the SILVER TIER of WatchandWager ADVANTAGE, where you get our introductory CASH BACK rate.*

Then comes Gold Tier with an extra 3%, followed by Platinum with another 3%.

Problem is, they don't tell you what that "introductory CASH BACK rate" is.

Your post suggests that maybe it would be 5.2%, which would actually be great.

My first thought at seeing these tiers is that if you could devise a losing greyhound system that only lost 8%, then you could use that to pad your volume to reach the highest tier.

Then if your jai-alai wagering yielded, let's say, 10% profit, it would effectively be 18%.

However, your mention of 11.2% - which implies maybe silver = 5.2 - makes it look even better, 21.2%. Even winning at 5% gets transformed into + 16.2%.

Kind of amazing that you could win by losing.

Anyway, do you know how your friend's rate is derived?

Because, on the face of it, $15k per month would put your friend at Gold, which equals Silver + 3%, which implies Silver = 8.2%, which looks too good to be true.

So maybe your friend is at the Black tier, which they say is a rate that is individually negotiated.

Shouldn't be this mysterious - what is the actual SILVER TIER rate??? Sheesh.
