Immediately alert, Lela stood her ground as she sniffed at the odors coming from this new presence. She sensed no fear, no threat, but instead a light and welcoming aura surrounding this intruder.
But - perhaps she was the intruder, perhaps this was the pack home of this female - and she tried to quiet her fears and insecurities so that she would present herself as , at least, as non-threatening. However, she continued to keep her distance and her guard up as she waited....not trusting the she wolf in front of her.
As the minutes ticked by, she studied the face of the wolf in front of her - it showed no animosity, but instead feelings of welcome - and excitement. She slowly inched forward, keeping her senses & body alert if she should suddenly have to run - or defend herself.
But the wolf in front of her was - excited, friendly - and she began to lower her guard as the other wolf came closer and - smiled?!?
