Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

do not go gentle into that good night

Talk, talk, talk. It seemed that Thor was intent on lecturing him much the same as Azariah was. Only this time it wasn't about his manners or lack thereof, but more on the lines of what if. What if he was a bad ruler? What if he had to make a decision? It makes his teeth grind, his tail twitch, his annoyance rise. "Do you think I could not inspire loyalty? Demand it, even? I am not sweet nor gentle like the leaders of lore, but who would want to be behind one who simply was a sitting duck." The words are hissed, his head jolting up in his own arrogance. "Fear.... fear is a good factor, but there are other things that can hold sway over others." Now he grins, wild. "Weakness. Everyone is so concerned about weakness. Again, the weak must learn for themselves. If my weakness is another then they must learn to be strong, else they will not last long." He gives a dismissive shrug. The smartest thing was to target one's closest friends and family - and such a tactic could be used against him. Hence why he had plans to strengthen those around him.

"Oh, I don't know about that, master Thor. My ego seems to have gotten me far enough," he taunts cryptically, flashing charcoal eyes laughing at the male before he starts on his nitty and gritty speech. It is meant to rile Thor up but the male apparently has decided to not let Thorne rile him up. Pity - the flashing fury had been brilliant. His own taunt makes Blackthorne's fang appear in his traditional grin, actual amusement there in his eyes for once. It is rare that he finds such things amusing, but his mood is morbid.

And thus begins the fight.

Thor has pulled back with swiftness and skill and even as Thorne rises the male rushes in. Thorne is full of adrenaline and bloodlust but he has trained his body and so even as Thor tries to rush underneath him while delivering a bite upwards, the obsidian boy twists his hips so that his body spins outwards and away from Thor rather than down his back. Thor's teeth rake across the underside of his inner limb due to this change but it meant that Thorne came down parallel to the other male. As Thor continues onward to try and get out from beneath Thorne, the boy is now at his side, and he lunges forward before the male could hopefully leave him behind.

There is little strategy in the movement save to bite and make a mark upon the other; if things go well, Thor's hip will be to his left shoulder, and he leaps forward with the intent to bite down on fleshy upper thigh and yank back, using the others momentum against him. If he is lucky. The spot beneath his foreleg burns and stings from the bite that Thor inflicted, having ripped a small gash underneath due to Thorne's spinning attempt to free himself.
