As to the tulips, they are easy and I'm lazy..
I'm reminded of when I moved to Tenino, I went to Home Depot and bought lots of tulip, hyathins , crocus , and dahlia bulbs.. A lady in the checkout line commented "Looks like you are going to do lots of planting".. I replied, "Oh no, these are for salads, you chop them up and they really add a lot to the flavor." The shocked look on her face was priceless!! I was laughing so hard when I exited the parking lot I almost had a collision...
