At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

" tale as old as time "

rew . adult . no home . child of delaria

a willowy frame swayed in the breeze. the light strands of fur brushed back and forth, going wherever the wind would take it. stormy oculars seemed to match the greying sky above. clouds rolled in from the sea and the call of simple seagulls echoed off the rock formations out in the water. the waved bounced back and forth on the shore, sending new water splashing up to meet the paws standing there. the liquid was cold, bone chilling. the frigid temperature seeped down into skin, icing the bones. they said that hypothermia was always something to be wary of when you reached the cold sea, but that theory had yet to be tested. by her, at least.

little miss rew. an innocent pheasant, one who didn't think very highly of herself. insecure? yes. there were some things that she just could not handle nor get over. she'd tried to join a pack, a while ago, but that never happened. that alphess was gone before the light had risin in the sky. she'd heard of a new alpha in those lands, however preferred not to join his pack. she'd tried her luck with that land once, once was enough for the girl. as much as she wished, she didn't know if the pack life was for her. most wolves felt safer in the confinement of a pack, they felt security. for rew? not so much. she felt the jealousy, the competitiveness. for she had grown up in a pack that had nearly destroyed itself with hatred. the members had only thought of themselves, they didn't want anything to do with "taking orders" or "doing as told". their alpha, she could no longer remember his name, gave up. that's when they took a rebellion, blew it up. they killed him, drank his blood, feasted on his flesh. that had been enough to drive her away. now she was stuck with the brutal memories of that night in her head. it replayed itself over and over again, like a broken movie. some parts were fuzzy, like the memory was starting to fade. but other parts were clear as day, such as the screams of the old man that had been torn apart by his supposed trusted pack members. how any wolf could live like that was beyond her knowledge. that's why she ran from the only place she ever knew. she got away.

in doing so, she ended up in blossom, somewhere she didn't recognize. at that point, she was starving, so skinny you could see her ribs through her fur. she looked like a pile of bones. being weak and innocent, she knew wolves would try to take advantage. that's why she originally tried to join graes, but only found more hurt.

now she stood at the edge of the sea, gazing out into the cold water. everything around her had changed. the cold water sent a shiver down her spine, but she no longer cared. her soft fur was now back down to her bones, you could see her ribs. she wasn't healthy by any means, she'd given up. what was her point being here any longer? she had no friends, no home. she barely held the ability to hunt any more. smaller prey came with a price. they were scarce to find and were usually a challenge for the poor lady. she just wanted there to be an end to her challenge.

that's when the sound of pebbles being rolled behind her started. her small head slowly turned and she caught the sight of a white wolf. he seemed to stand with such authority, she automatically assumed he was an alpha. her tail lowered as she took a few steps away from the water. she wasn't looking for trouble by any means. all she wanted was her life back, one that could be happy again. she looked up, shaking her head.

i apologize she uttered, her voice barely above a whisper. i'll get out of your way.

don't be scared my darling
