At Leisure Lake the sun is always shining and only a few stray clouds roam the open sky; paradise is the one word that really describes it. This beautiful lake is clean and refreshing, the very best place to swim and fish. Pups are known to play here while older wolves watch at the side, engaged in their own activities.

then we'll lie, cheat, steal and murder everything
lucian - demon - of age - loyal to wudubearo - no heart
we have dark, tarred souls underneath

The obsidian demon had hoped that the modifications only lay within the boundaries of his pack lands, but the further he ventured out, the more his spheres absorbed of his new world. Some landscapes had developed vastly; some landforms even gone. It was unnatural, puzzling, and it fed a soft rage into the male as his world that he come to know had changed into this new strange and foreign land. What on earth had happened?

He stood alone for an abbreviated time; the salt that lingered in the air carrying to his nares. Subtle sand had begun to accumulate upon his thick, pitch-black robes as the soft winds collected them, creating a soft frosted look to his coat where they rested. Lucian had felt curious before, and then angry, the great beast’s temper causing his chest to swell and his heart to thunder inside of its cavity. He had visited a variety of emotions in the short frame that he stood there, and then finally, he was met with a conclusion that he must find out what is going on. He had sincerely debated going into the choppy waters; but were there any use? Would taking on this vicious ocean prove anything to the bulky demon? Perhaps he could find an end. All things had to end somewhere, . . . right? But the sky was beginning to darken, the sun receding beneath the horizon, and the violent water already lapped hungrily at his paws as it was. He was hesitant in his decision, but ultimately, he decided against it. He would consult Milo before he went on a voyage of any kind; especially one this foreign and threatening. Perhaps his Queen would even have some of the answers for herself . . . Which brings the question; has Milo yet visited her kingdom? Has she seen it as it stood now?

The massive beast had heard the opposites approach, and captured the brute’s perfumes even sooner than he had emerged behind Lucian, the scent of the sea and this stranger mixing all together to create one. Lucian’s rich vocals asked without his bulky frame yet turning around, “What’s so amusing, you ask…? Do you not see it?” Lucian’s red spheres narrowed, never wavering from the darkened surface of the ocean, as if they might miss a single clue to this mystery. As if the ocean would eventually hand over its deep and dangerous secrets. The coal-black demon doubted himself for a brief moment; were his own eyes, possibly, . . . deceiving him? Was all of this some kind of cruel joke? Or was Lucian, just simply, losing his fucking mind? The great beast shook his cranium and dismissed the idea from his mind as his broad shoulders shifted, his frame pulling to face the opposite so that the obsidian devil could capture the mask of the brute. Then, Lucian’s red spheres veered to connect with those of his opposite. “This ocean… it was not here a while ago. There used to be a lake here. Do you not recall?” Another moment’s gaze at the stranger pulled up another thought within the demon. “Or perhaps, are you new to this land?”
