aurora borealis- noun plural: An aurora that occurs in northern regions of the earth. Also called northern lights.

In the middle of a dense forest of coniferous trees lies the Aurora Borealis pack, its name coming from its location. At certain times of the year, the northern lights appear, dancing almost magically in the sky. A narrow trail leads you through the close evergreens. Giving into temptation, you begin moving your paws. By venturing into this territory, you are venturing into a land belonging to a pair of feared leaders. You have heard rumors of them...but you decide to take your chances and hope that the tales of blood and death are merely fabricated stories to scare wolves.

You have walked nearly five minutes before you realize the sound of paws stepping somewhere from behind. Deciding that you've made a mistake, you quickly turn around, but find that you cannot go any further. Standing before you is one of the mighty kings you've heard of. His blood red pelt clings over perfectly toned bands of muscle. But that isn't what causes such fear in your veins. One of his amber eyes has a horrid, bleeding scar across it, and his good eye seems to stare right through you. His face is expressionless, giving off none of his intentions. You cower away as his jaws part.

"I'm Hell Demon."

His voice was deep and cut through the air like a hot knife through butter. Right where he left off, another voice picks up from behind you. You whirl around and find yourself facing another male with steely muscles beneath his pelt, which seems to consist of every shade of brown. He had startled you, and you're amazed how you hadn't at all detected his approach.

"And I am Ghost...we're the alphas of Aurora Borealis."

His deep voice was laced thickly with a Native American accent. His own golden eyes are directing a harsh glare your way. Now you're caught in the middle...your breathing has become heavy in your panic and you're not sure which to face.

"You've foolishly trespassed into our territory. You face the one called Hell Demon's whose voice is once more addressing you. Get out, or become a corpse along our border."

It's obvious they mean business. So now it's up to you...take your chances and stay, or heed their warning and waste no time getting out with your life.

My Philosophy is that Worrying Means You Suffer Twice

_________________________________________________________________________

As the young rainbow and his Tempest began talking about what Scamander had done in terms of hunting before, the rainbow couldn’t keep his questions to himself. Often the young brute was shy around strangers, but the instant bond he felt to Vladimir made that go away, and the words tumbled from his mouth. His dark purple plume wagged behind him as he became more excited at the thought of trying something new when Vladimir had asked him about fish. When the older male told him to slow down with his questions, Scamander’s tail momentarily stopped afraid that he had asked too many questions. But as Vladimir answered his questions, he realized he had just asked too many too quickly, and once more his plume wagged in excitement as Vladimir already began teaching him about the new world he was in. His mismatched orbs were focused on the older male, taking in his every word and tucking the information away for later. Even though he was young, he had always been very smart once he was taught something. The last question made him unsure though, was there something wrong with him that he didn’t yet know how to fish and swim? His parents had said he was too young to learn much yet, and that they would teach him all he needed to know when was older, and he had not thought anymore of it. ”Not yet. My parents said that they would teach me other stuff when I was older. Should I know how to swim and fish and hunt already? How old were you when you were taught?” Remembering how Vladimir asked him to only ask one question at a time, he quickly stopped, realizing he had already asked two. He quickly mumbled out an apology as he waited to see what the Tempest would say. ”Sorry…”

When the pair made it to Vladimir’s pack, Scamander was taking to an area where he could safely wait for his meal. He didn’t realize how tired he was from his journey until he got there, and he quickly fell asleep waiting. It seemed like he had only just closed his eyes when Vladimir was calling for him, and he yawned as he forced himself to get up. When he caught the scent of the fresh meal, he quickly woke up fully, excited to eat and he wasted no time other than to thank the older brute for the food as he quickly ate it. He wasn’t sure what the plan for them was now, and he quizzically looked to Vladimir to see what their course of action was. When he told Scamander about Seraphina, he was nervous about meeting someone new, but also didn’t want to disappoint Vladimir and tell him no. But he also trusted the Tempest completely, so he knew that he would still be safe around his mate. ”Okay, lets go!” The meal and nap had given Scamander the energy to keep going, and he was quickly on his emerald green paws, ready to follow Vladimir.

The young male began to follow his guardian, easily keeping up with the pace that Vladimir had set for them to travel. It didn’t take them long before they had come to the den, and Scamander followed the gesture to go in. He was amazed to see that there was an amplitude of glow worms to light up the spacious den, and his purple and yellow orbs widened at the site, a smile appearing upon his muzzle. His audette’s perked when he heard Vladimir’s vocals, looking for his mate. "Sera, I am home… And I have a surprise guest for us. Are you here?" It was only a few moments before he heard the voice of a stranger, and Scamander stepped closer to Vladimir, wishing that he could hide between the other male’s legs, but not wanting to risk touching him. Besides, Vladimir said they would get along and he wouldn’t have brought Scamander to someone that would harm him, but he still grew nervous meeting a new wolf. “And who could this special guest be? Well aren’t you handsome. I'm Seraphina, but you can just call me Sera if you'd like. What’s your name, little one?”

Scamander’s emerald stilts took a step closer, an unsure and nervous smile of greeting on his features. But Vladimir was right, Seraphina was nice. ”It’s nice to meet you Sera.” Her shorter name was easier to say than Seraphina, so he used the name she offered for him. ”My name is Scamander.” He could tell that she was not a Tempest as Vladimir was, but that didn’t matter. For now he wasn’t sure what his place with Vladimir and Seraphina was, and he looked back to the Tempest who he already felt a connection with, waiting to see if he had anything to say or any instruction.
