melos felt bad, this poor girl had been through everything. one second, he looked at her, she looked like a pup. now she had the aura of a teen, she was taller now. as he finally laid his body to rest, she stayed a bit away. skittish. he understood why she was, she was blind and she was alone. the brute listened intently to what the girl had to say. she spoke of her past. what had happened. philomelos watched her, worry flashing in his brown colored eyes. her voice was soft and it was almost like a song to him.

"my name is printesa, the reason that i was all alone is because my brother went somewhere. i tried to find him, but alas i fell down that slope. he normally doesn’t leave me alone, not since we got away from our father. though brother says he’s dead, in my heart i do not feel it is true, such evil does not fall that quickly. evil does not just die. he'd made my body hurt for days, weeks even. my brother and sister shared the same fate as i. until my brother attacked him, we got away, but i do not know if he is actually dead."

what a poor creature. how could anyone treat such a young girl with such innocence? how dare he steal her pride? her youth seemed to have been ripped from her grasping paws. gone. her father was a bastard, someone he knew should never have been allowed into this world. if tesa's brother was correct, then the monster would be in hell. if tesa's gut feeling was right, then that beast would be crawling the earth. probably taking advantage of the other girls who wander the world. how dare a man do that?

"my family was very messed up, yet my brother and sister always took care of me, even when my father caused me to go blind. he was mad i was caught being talked to by another male wolf in our pack. he placed rocks on my head until i was screaming i couldn’t see. i never got my sight back after that. to this day i wish i could see, i don’t think i'll ever feel like my father is truly dead until i see his cold lifeless corpse on the ground."

hearing her whines made his heart break in two. what a coward that man was. melos could feel his eyes pricking with tears as he thought about the struggle this poor girl had been put through. a little girl like her was lucky to have such siblings to take care of her. but where were they now? how could they leave a blind and defenseless child unattended? even though she was a teen, she couldn't see where she was going. she couldn't see what she was doing or even who was talking to her. you could tell a lot about a wolf just by appearance alone. most vargs didn't, but it's a physiological thing to do so. reading an individual just by a few passing words.

melos could tell that this beauty needed a friend, someone to lean on. right then and there he made a silent promise to himself that he would protect printesa with his life.

"printesa," he tested her name, letting it roll across his tongue. "i'm so sorry you've had to deal with so much pain, so much sorrow in your short life. i pray that your beast of a father has been put down. if not, and if he seeks you out, i will gladly protect you. you're young, you need someone to teach you these lands," he chose his words carefully.

"you deserve better than what he has given you."he continued softly and let his hazel eyes rest upon her onyx colored fur.

"i'll be here for you. now why don't you get some sleep?"
