Fir Chilis is the name given to the dense string of forested land that fills much of Blossom Forest. There are two different populations, depending on where in the land you are. To the north lays the deciduous forest, full of maples, oaks, birches, and beeches. To the south lay a coniferous forest full of pines and firs. No matter where you are, the trees shelter you from the sun and the rain and the snow. Take care not to get lost in the woods however - you may never find your way out. There are other dangerous here too - predators waiting for their own prey. While the land is prosperous they do not pose too much of a threat, but whenever famine or drought hits, they will attack anything... even other Putnar.

Those looking to hunt will find the forests well stocked - there are white-tailed deer, turkeys, red squirrels, chipmunks, mermots, and moose.

Bring Me to Life

Only You Are the Life Among the Dead

Seasons began to change in the forest as the lands had more and more of a chill. The air grew colder as everything prepared for snow and death. But it was not a bad thing. It was only a temporary death that would help bring back new life in the spring. Trees had lost their foliage and were left bare and grass and brush got lost underneath white scatterings of snow. Winter was only just beginning, but already Khaleesi could feel that cold that would linger for a time. It was not something that bothered the femme though. She was used to the cold, and her body was as well. Even before it got this cold, her coat had been growing thick and warm, getting her ready to survive another winter. Her pelt would blend in with any snow that would fall, letting her hide from any being, whether it be lupine or prey. But the female was not concerned with hiding or stalking in the snow, but rather making sure that she was ready to help bring her pack through another winter. Her mother had taught her well how to do so, not only as any other wolf but as a healer. She had the extra responsibility to make sure that her herb stores were well stocked in case of emergency. Khaleesi never wanted anyone to get hurt, but she was confident that what she had would be enough just in case.

As the femme awoke to another chilly morning, she decided to go out and see how the rest of the forest was holding up to the impending snow. Her breath misted in the air as she pushed out of her den, her body shivering for a moment as it adjusted to the outside temperature after being in her warmer den. The femme stretched out her limbs and muscles, letting out a yawn as she headed towards the borders of the packlands. Dierne Hrof was already as familiar to her as Aurora Borealis had been, and it took her no time to navigate through the barren trees. Khaleesi had no agenda today and nowhere to be, so she let her paws carry her aimlessly through the trees. Occasionally she would run through the woods, letting out a bark here and there, just enjoying the cool kiss of winter. Her plume wagged behind her as green orbs took in the dense foliage around her. She paused her stride for a moment to get her bearings and figure out where she had wandered off to. With how thick the trees were here she knew it had to be Fir Chilis. It had been a while since Khaleesi had found herself here, so decided to explore the forest a bit, maybe even stop to hunt before heading back to home eventually.

Going into a hunter’s stance, the femme focused on the smells and sounds around her. Not much was out right now, and she carefully stalked through the brush, making sure she was not exposed to the open in case she were to stumble upon anything, watching where she put every paw to not alert any prey to her presence. As she crouched through the trees, the thick metallic scent of blood reached her nares, and she wondered if another varg was out here hunting. But there was something oddly familiar about the scent, and she decided to check it out, but carefully. Khaleesi knew how hostile and protective other wolves could get over their prey, so she kept herself hidden for now in case she was about to interrupt someone’s meal and put herself in danger. Instead of another wolf feeding, she found one brute alone, one that she had found before. Khaleesi could never forget this particular wolf. Crowe had been the first varg that she had done any healing on without Hellene nearby to supervise her. Luckily when she first met him it had not been anything too serious, just a broken rib, but she was happy to help him. Now it seemed worse.

Green orbs quickly took in the scene, and all the blood. She quickly ran to him, making sure that he knew that she was approaching though. An injured wolf, even one who knew her, could be even more dangerous than one that was feeding. Pain made others react in all sorts of ways. ”Crowe!?” The snow white femme cautiously approached, watching and gauging his reaction to make sure he was okay with her coming closer before she got within striking distance of him. As long as he didn’t show any signs of hostility, Khaleesi drew close, carefully examining the large wound on his face without touching him. ”Oh, Crowe. What happened to you? Can I help?” The femme remembered that he had been receptive to her help before, but this wound was worse. And she couldn’t assume that he would be as receptive to her actions this time.
