The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

Draven
I'm Your Worst Nightmare Dressed as your Day Dream

A question had rang out in the darkness, calling to him, begging for him to show himself. Draven‘s tall pinnae swiveled to locate the echoing vocals, and a grin spread over his lips. His fiery embers, always red hot, nearly burst as they began to glow brighter, fueled by his hunger. Draven wanted nothing more than to find the prey who had snuck into his den, and one way or another, he would be sated. His large mass rose up from the ground, and he stretched briefly before moving into a trot. Confidently, he strode through the winding labyrinth of tunnels toward his prey. This was his home, he knew how sound traveled within it, so though he could not know where his prey currently was, but he knew just about where they were when they had asked the question. It was a good enough place to start - he could and would find them. The handsome brute picked up an easy trot, avoiding all of the obstacles in his path -the low hanging stalactites, the large, brooding stalagmites that grew like tall columns before him. He avoided the crevices that threatened to swallow unsuspecting beings whole… And he continued on until he came to where they had been. His eyes rolled as he examined the ground, and changed his direction ever so slightly in order to follow the paw prints left in the gentle fragile layer of dust and soil that covered the cavernous floor. He knew a few things - the first was that they were not far. They had asked the question but a moment before, and it had not taken him long to get to this point. But he also knew that they were not an adult - their paw prints were too small. They did not put much of an imprint on the ground either, speaking to body mass. What a lovely day for young prey.

The paw prints were helpful - they told him which cavern tunnel his prey had went down, and once he was a few hundred feet into that one, he could hear them. Not their footsteps, not their breathing, not yet. What he heard now was their heartbeat, the study lab dub rhythm coming from their chest. It was slow, relaxed, but if Draven had anything to say about it, it would not be that way for long. Draven leapt up onto a nearby ledge, and slunk his way through a narrow cavern. It had been so much easier for him to traverse all of this cave once he had gained his night vision… But he had already known the ground tunnels so well, that it had not much changed anything there. But for these tunnels, these ones whose entrance and exit were higher up, it made all the difference. And he knew that this particular one, if he hurried, would put him in front of the other. When he finally got to where he was aiming to go, he leapt down and waited for the wolf to arrive. His plume swept too and fro with excitement, when his eyes finally laid upon the other, he leapt into a bow.

Where am I? Here I am, little love. You searched, and thus you have found me” Draven rose and quietly moved to the side, knowing that in the dark, the other wolf would not be able to see him anyways. “Now tell me, why should you not be my next meal? I will say though that I have fed relatively recently, on another delectable thing such as yourself, but I have nothing against feeding upon another, especially when he is so… Delicious as yourself. Ah, but where are my manners, I am Draven, the first vampire of this new world. The maker of all the others… It sounds a little pretentious doesn’t it? Not quite my style at all, and so I will retract the statement and instead simply say that I am a vampire named Draven. And as of right now, my sights are set on having you as my next prey. What have you to say to that?

He had every reason to attack, and perhaps some of the younger vampires would have already - they were not well in control of their hungers yet, nor were they quite as capable at hunting as an adult was. But Draven had kept one particular trait when he had turned - he liked to play with his food. And so far, it looks like this teenager would be his next meal. Draven was not so hungry as to be starving yet, having only recently fed on both Thackary and Tiberias. But that did not mean that he would let them escape, not unless he had good reason to. And Draven was indeed the beast of that everyone thought he was, but he had rules and morals of his own design, and he was not above comraderie… It was just that it was rare for him to find one he actually considered worthy of being his friend…
