10th anniversary of court approval Event - with international TV coverage Posted on October 26, 2017 at 09:05:19 AM by Jeff "Laca" Conway
The 10th anniversary of Puryear Jai-alai Park's approval- making it the first public court in America - is coming up and will be celebrated in a big event Sunday, December 17th at 1pm.
The event will be covered by the TVS Television Network which is a major syndicator of American sports programming and produces 250 shows yearly via TV, home video and the Web on a worldwide basis. Millions of people will see the event across the world when edited and broadcasted.
The NJAA will work on plans to get the court refurbished immediately. Participating players will be asked to contribute a set amount of money to play in the event which would include a playing jersey or shirt and any misc. expenses to set up the event, which would be minor if we have volunteers to help out.
Details will come soon. The December date will be almost to the day the St. Pete City council voted to approve the additional funding for the courts construction and was requested by TVS Television Network. The Sunday date was picked because the Bucs are off that day and have a game the following night in Tampa on Monday Night Football vs. Atlanta. Replies: There have been no replies.
