Now that things in his family had changed, he wondered what he was supposed to do, Berwyn was different, which meant that Cadeyrn was dealing with his own mixed feelings. He loved his nieces, that was something he would never deny, but he knew that things were changing more and more each day. But, then again, he had expected this to happen long ago. If only Jubilee would come home and take her place in the healing work she did so well, maybe things would feel a little more balanced, but so far, he doubted his little sister would be bringing herself back any time soon, so shy she was.

Staring at the mountain he tried to make sense of it all, what mother would say, if she'd say anything at all. But more likely, he wanted to see his father, to look the man in his face and see what it was about him that had made mom give in so easily. Maybe things would have been different, but so far, it doesn't feel that way. He shook his head, ignoring that nagging idea in the back of his head.

He sensed the presence before he saw her, smelled her before he saw her as well. She was a mother--the other scents that clung to her made it very clear. He turned his head as she came towards him, letting his eyes settle on her form before she spoke. He looked back to the mountain, and found himself a little, unsure of everything. "Honestly, I wish there was something interesting up there." his gruff voice rumbled from his chest as he stood there, trying to figure out what to do with himself now.
