Observed on Oct 26 from shore (with scope) one Pacific Loon in non-breeding plumage in McPhee Bay (L Simcoe) near Plum Pt. I had two Common Loons for comparison. The P Loon was smaller, white throat contrast with dark neck, some evidence of a "chinstrap". Also had 8 Hooded Mergansers, 5 Bufflehead and many Bonapartes. Replies: There have been no replies.
